Oh jeeze, I'm trying to modify my reply and the board is so slow it's impossible. (so consider thanks fixed -- thanks ! What gets me is that if TNT is airing this film on Sept then they probably bought it awhile ago -- well before the Miami release and Lionsgate never mentioned it when talking about the film or when they mentioned their other films going to TV. All the while telling Icon reps and fans there was a possibility of expansion if the film did well and word was spread all the while doing everything possible to make sure that would never happen. Weasels.

I think yes, "il" is for Israel. I just googled "Israel + movies" because of the near release date and found me on a moviesite with Hebrew language. Wild clicking. Suddenly the small poster. Yippee! So I went on, marked the Hebrew title on it ...goooogle... more sites. But I really cannot say which might be the official one from the distributor. Maybe we have a fan out there who can help with the language?

Thanks again! Oh Yuliya..... While looking around I found that Italy now has a distributor DNC and they're releasing it in 2008. Someone said Poland gets it Oct 12th but I haven't found a site to confirm that yet.

For Poland October 12th is confirmed. But no goodies from the distributor monolith so far www.monolith.pl/repertuar.html. For the Czech Republic it is December 6th and a wide release - according to boxofficemojo. Distributor is bontonfilm www.bontonfilm.cz/From where I live I probably make it to my Polish neighbours to get to see the film. In Germany BIG silence ahm

Thanks. Again. Nothing from most of the big territories UK, France or Germany yet so at least you're not alone. Spain had it at 11/30 but may have changed since it's so close to Seraphim Falls opening the previous week 11/23. But at least all those countries have a probability of a theatrical showing unlike in the U.S. (curses Lionsgate! Again.) So far I have: Release Dates (subject to change) Israel: 8-23-07 Malaysia: 9-20-07 Spain (Stiges Festival): 10-07 Singapore: 10-07 Bulgaria: 10-07 Philipines: 10-03-07 Argentina: 10-11-07 Poland: 10-12-07 Belgium: 10-24-07 Netherlands: 10-25-07 Chile: 11-15-07 Spain: 11-30-07 (maybe) Russia: 12-07-07 Czech Republic: 12-08-07 Mexico: 1-11-08 Italy: 2008

Sometimes the theater and movie sites are a change of date behind of the Distributor. The Distributor site is: www.kfd.be Can you find the date on their site?

Sigh, and what about Canada? Lucky people who can see them in those countries. I'm starting to get envious.

Does Canada get TNT? I wouldn't be surprised if Maple Pictures did what Lionsgate sadly did since the companies are so closely related. Thanks ahm. I added them to my Gallery on my BOAW/Shattered site

Thanks! I'm uploading the new (and some larger) pics (and a much larger version of the poster) to the Gallery on my BOAW/Shattered site now. pbfiles.t35.com/butterfly/index.htmlStrange that on the bottom of the poster is the url but it keeps coming up as an error. www.lsmovies.com.tw/(ls stands for Long Shong Entertainment)

I googled with the Taiwanese signs/name for Long Shong Entertainment and got THIS www.lsmovie.com.tw/ So it's not lsmovie s, but lsmovie. Unfortunately no real sign of BOAW in there, it seems a bit UNDER CONSTRUCTION ahm

I haven't read this topic in quite a while. Catching up on all the new posts my eyes grew wider and wider. This is kind of a nightmare scenario, and a very bad one at that. How insulting to anyone who worked hard on the movie.

Lionsgate's actions suck on so many levels but at least they're not the Worldwide distributor so they can only screw up the film for the US (and maybe Canada via Maple Pictures that seems to be joined at the hip with Lionsgate) Found by ahm: the Official Israel Site for BOAW www.nrg.co.il/images/4u/butterfly/index.html
