Pierce Brosnan drives 'pig' Porsche in new filmDrive On Bryan Alexander, USA TODAY September 6, 2014 Pierce Brosnan's return to the spy world has been far from his James Bond heyday. In The November Man, returning to theaters for a second weekend, Brosnan trades Bond's familiar Aston Martin for his new character's old Porsche, which he describes as a "pig" to drive. Still, the classic Porsche makes for some beautiful footage. Most car fanciers would kill to get some time behind the wheel of a Porsche. But hopefully not this car, Brosnan tells USA TODAY. "That car was a pig to drive," says Brosnan. "It looks great, but it was just heavy duty." "It was one of those grand illusions of the cinema. It looks great on screen," says Brosnan. "It handles well, but it would stall out a lot." The high-class sports car was needed to set the scene of Brosnan's post CIA life in the movie. His killer character is out of the game, enjoying the finer things -- living on a lake in Switzerland (actually filmed Montenegro), owning a restaurant, zipping around in a cool car. "If you're going to be the hero you have to have the great car," says Brosnan. Some of the things Brosnan enjoyed about the experience? "Blowing (bleep) up in the streets of Belgrade (where the film was primarily shot) and getting away with it." And there was driving through traffic in the Belgrade streets pulling off elaborate stunts. This kind of stuff couldn't happen in Hollywood. "Going out in traffic, real traffic, with eight men in cars with camera mounts and working out a sequence for days. And pulling it off," says Brosnan. "That's when you know you're back in the game, back in the spy world."

Er... excuse me, does anyone know in what country they filmed Moscow? As far as I know they shot all the exteriors in Belgrade and Montenegro. They might have used stock footage for some establishing shots though of different locations.

Not for Moscow. Not that it matters in a movie like this, but it was very obvious Moscow was not shot in Russia. But it completely makes sense - if most of a movie is located in Serbia and Montenegro, it should be shot entirely there and with local actors playing everyone with an accent. After the movie my son asked about Fedorov's accent - he couldn't place it and neither could we until I looked up the actor.
