His recollection of his art showing -- very amusing. Yes, it is. He is a fun storyteller. Ah, that's exactly what I said in the other thread. If I was going to write about 9/11 as a poem, it would look an awful lot like his. He is very good at describing feelings. I sure felt like that on both occasions. I don't have any loved-ones in London, but I know people who do.

Yeah, I´ve returned from Egypt and see the news at his site. Pierce is a great artist, I also like his letters and "Let us all go out into each new day and be kind, to ourselves and each other." The poet was good, but (maybe because I´m not interested in poets as much), I like more when he draws ;D

Movies.Com Announces Finalists for Second Annual Movie Site AwardsMonday July 18, 3:49 pm ET Press Release Source: Movies.com NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 18, 2005--Not your typical red carpet contenders! Movies.com, a leading Web site for movie fans, has announced the finalists for its second annual Movie Site Awards. Over the past two months, movie fans and site developers submitted thousands of postings on Movies.com to rally "consideration" support for their favorite websites for movies, actors and directors -- in both official and fan categories. "As people increasingly turn to the web for information about their movie choices, it is important that these sites deliver a valuable experience. The 'MSAs' reward those sites that best reflect their film, director or actor through an engaging and informative fan experience." Two awards will be granted in each category - Audience Pick and Editors' Pick. The Audience Pick will be chosen from the finalists through online voting located at www.movies.com/siteawards. The Movies.com editorial staff will choose the Editors' Pick. Editors' Pick criteria includes depth and breadth of information offered, factual accuracy, demonstrated ability to engage fans, overall design and ease of use. To qualify for an award nomination, the site had to involve a movie, actor, director or screenwriter that was associated with a theatrical release in the last three months of 2004 or any time in 2005. Movies.com editors reviewed all nominations. For more information on Movies.com's Movie Site Awards, please visit www.movies.com/siteawards. Ohhh, splendid! Time to cast my vote! Ace, where can we nominate your site? Yes vote, but good luck beating the teenie boppers voting for Orlando. Nominations are over and these are the sites that Movie.com chose from the noms after checking them all out. So these nominations are probably worth more than the ulimate fan vote. Ace

There must not be any Chicagoans in our rank and file (to vote early and vote often!). To quote Yevtushenko: "justice is a train that is nearly always late." Beats me how Ace's site (AKA The Atheneum of All Things Pierce) isn't top of the heap. I suppose being on a higher reading level has its drawbacks in a democracy. At least the electorate is provided a public service. Where else could one go to find out the SMA's, ah, shoe size, for example?
Orlando Bloom's web site, oh, the inanity! Who gave 12 year olds the vote! I could have told them it would mean nothing but trouble. Alas, while Bloom concentrates on growing chest hair, his fans are (inadvertently) suggesting that he may need to stuff his ... ballots.

LOL I guess voting for PB is something that one does on principle. I can't help it if others can't see what star quality is about. Too bad nominations are over, but we could always suggest PB Files next time.

PierceBrosnan.com has been updated with the EW interview and a campaign site for Save the Whales Again! including a video clip featuring Pierce. I just figured out that you can download this clip in the forum of pierce.de.vu It also saves in your temporary internet files, so if you watch it and copy the file from your temporary files folder to your files folder on the harddrive, you can keep it as well.

Kristyna, congrats on the name change. Pierce's letter because well they do tend to change: September 1, 2005 Dear Friends: Greetings. I’m currently on tour promoting The Matador which will be released on November 4th, after traveling through various festivals including events in Deauville, London, Toronto, Aspen and Honolulu. The reaction to the film from the studio and members of the press has been very favorable. Click here for a schedule of my personal appearances and festival screenings. This fall I will be making a picture called Seraphim Falls with Liam Neeson for Icon Entertainment. Shooting begins this October in New Mexico. Irish DreamTime is also in full swing with two projects at the moment. The first is a thriller called Butterfly on a Wheel. We have been working on this script for months, and we all feel it has great potential. In the New Year we will be co-producing a film called The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle, in partnership with Danny DeVito and Morgan Freeman. Some of you may recognize the title from the book of the same name. Danny has done an excellent job at adapting the book, a period piece set in 1832, and is also going to direct the film; we are trying to persuade him to appear in the picture as well. In closing, my heart goes out to all the souls affected by the recent tragedy in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. To help, I encourage you to make a donation to the American Red Cross or to visit www.charityfolks.com online auction with 100% of the profits benefiting victims of Hurricane Katrina. As always, let us all go out into each new day and be kind, to ourselves and each other. Love and only love, Pierce ====================================== Upcoming Live Appearances * September 2, 2005 Deauville, France Screening of The Matador at the Deauville Film Festival * September 6, 2005 Attending GQ Awards * September 15, 2005 Toronto, Canada Screening of The Matador at the Toronto Film Festival * September 28 - October 2, 2005 Aspen, Colorado Screening of The Matador at the Aspen Film Festival * October 6, 2005 Mill Valley, California Screening of The Matador at the Mill Valley Film Festival * October 19-23, 2005 East Hampton, New York Screening of The Matador at the Hamptons International Film Festival * October 28, 2005 Honolulu, Hawaii Screening of The Matador at the Honolulu Film Festival ============================= I see the 49th London Film Festival, opens Oct. 19 and wraps Nov. 3 so I can't imagine he would get to go to it since he'll be filming in New Mexico. I'm wondering how he's going to manage the Hamptons & Hawaii unless they show on a weekend. He flew out mid Matador to do press on the weekend for Laws but that was just I think to NY, not several cities and trips. Ace

When I saw the 2nd "blue" one, I started to laugh... And really lovely was the last one, I love these types of photos :-)
