Hey if he wasn't fond of the look himself he'd shave more. Neat find in the tv/documentary section of his work... his early BBC telefilm Murphy's Stroke is actually available for sale on video... alas only on PAL from the UK. Ace

Yes, I have only skimmed the site, but I see that lots of his work is available for sale through it. Let's hope that his Remington Steele collection increases dramatically in size and quality soon. btw, I was sorry to see that in all his affiliations listed under "activist" that women's health issues are at the bottom of the list. Surely he doesn't see it that way. cg (that's for you, Ace!) LOL

The listings seem to be arranged according to the amount of organizations listed and not toward importance.
Actually, several are missing like The Prince's Trust, Planet Arc etc and EIF isn't solely a Women's Health Organization, that's only one of the subset organizations under it's banner and while he used to be the chair of that branch he's now the Campaign Chair for the entire EIF.
The work for sale links are basically just links to Amazon.com and other online retailers and any sales from their referral go to charity.

Brosnan's Site Gives Glimpse Into Life Fri Mar 26, 3:14 PM ET LOS ANGELES - The name is com — PierceBrosnan.com. The official Web site of James Bond movie actor Pierce Brosnan — Agent 007 — is up and running, and for fans of the entertainer, it offers a unique peek into Brosnan's life and passions. The Web site, launched by Green-i Software and Solutions, examines Brosnan as an actor, artist and environmental activist. "In his films he may be larger than life, but in real life Mr. Brosnan is deeply committed to his family and the environment," said Green-i President Rolf Wicklund. "We worked closely with him throughout the development of this site, and it is our hope that we have successfully captured the many facets of this extraordinary man." The site highlights his films, dozens of his paintings, his Irish DreamTime production company and the Official Pierce Brosnan Fan Club. In Geneva in September 2003, Brosnan won a legal battle to claim the Internet domain name www.PierceBrosnan.com, with United Nations (news - web sites) arbitrators ruling in his favor over a notorious "cybersquatter" using the name. A United Nations panel ordered transfer of the domain name to the Irish actor, who had complained that it was being used illegally. The ruling said the registered owner of the name — Alberta Hot Rods of Alberta, Canada — had no rights or interests in the name and was using it in bad faith. Brosnan's lawyers told the panel that the domain linked to another Web site that they said carries advertising but no information about Brosnan. The owner of the site did not file a defense. Anyone can register a domain name for a few dollars, which has led so-called "cybersquatters" to file for famous names to make a fast buck from those who want the names. Brosnan's lawyers said Alberta Hot Rods is linked to Jeff Burgar, whom they described as a "notorious cybersquatter." Laguna Beach-based Green-i produces custom software applications for corporate and celebrity clients. ___ On The Net: www.piercebrosnan.com www.greeni.net ====================================== Interesting to see an AP article on his site. I haven't but I noticed that the fan page unlike the others was security encrypted, to no doubt protect private info to the best of their abiility. There's also a privacy info FAQ on the site detailing how info will be used (basically to send you stuff or know who you are if you're a stalker. ) Privacy IssuesOf course nothing is safe from hackers, not even personal and address info given to sites like Ebay or Amazon.com where they also have security encrypted forms. If you still feel unsafe though and you want to join, and if you don't mind nothing ever really getting tangibly mailed to you you could provide a false address. Now if stuff they mail to you (if they ever do)gets returned you'd probably lose your membership. Ace

Hmmm... hard to decide... should I give PB my adress or not ... no, that makes the contemplation redundant... ;D I'd love to join, though. What did you do, xenos?

I didn´t join yet but I didn´t had the time to think about it I know thats a prejudice but when I think about fan clubs I automatically see crying and hysterical teenies with braces and I feel a little too old and mature to join them (that doesn´t mean I believe you belong to that group) on the other hand: it´s Mr. B. ! ;D mhh... you´re right SparklingBlue...hard to decide...

I would call my membership a "guilty pleasure" , but I'm worried at what people might think when I get letters with "The Pierce Brosnan Fan Club" printed on them in large letters. There are some things a girl likes to be secretive about. On second thought: they might only be mailing you if you have won in some contest. Why would they go through the trouble of mailing a newsletter to Germany (in our case), when they can just as well send it by email.

Sparklingblue I get the feeling we only try to find excuses for us but deep in our hearts we want to join no matter what others than think about us Perhaps we join together at the same time..knowing that I´m not the only 21 year old german girl who joins a fan club makes it easier ;D
