I'm afraid this should be on a whole different planet than our serious (but welcome!) thread about the EU. Here's the question: read the following, then tell me what confection you would have chosen for your limo. (No spokesmen for candy included! ;D) ***** Woman buys 10,000 Mars bars, drives off in limo
LONDON, England (Reuters) -- A woman with an apparently insatiable sweet tooth stunned staff at a British shop when she bought more than 10,000 chocolate bars and had them loaded into her chauffeur-driven limousine.
The woman asked staff at a north London Woolworths branch for every single Mars bar in stock -- 10,656 of them packed in 220 boxes -- and paid for them in cash with 50 pound notes, a Woolworths spokesman said on Wednesday.
The total bill was 2,131 pounds ($3,828).
"It was very, very strange but nobody thought to ask her why she wanted so many," the spokesman said.
"It would usually take us a month to shift that number of chocolate bars," he added. "Perhaps she has a sweet tooth."***** I think I'd lean towards Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, but the thought of ten of anything is enough to make me queasy. Perhaps she was going to give some away? cg

What could one do, realistically, with 10,000+ candy bars? cg

No, the spokesman doesn't come with Rocher chocolates. Believe me. I tried. They are good, though. But cg was asking about chocolate bars.

I don't suppose it has to be bars, technically, as in relatively flat and rectangular, but I was thinking of candy that one buys in "individual servings," I guess you'd call them. So if you want to fill your car with peanut M&M's or Lifesavers or "circus peanuts," it's all good. ;D :: sets up toothbrush concession stand :: cg
