www.screendaily.com/news/mamma-mia-breaks-6m-dvd-mark-in-uk/5019542.articleMamma Mia! – The Movie has become the best selling DVD of all time in the UK, according to the BVA (British Video Association). Mamma Mia! − The Movie, released through Universal Home Entertainment, has sold over 6m DVDs since its release in 2008, according to charts supplied by the BVA based on data from the Official Charts Company (OCC). The musical-comedy has knocked the The Lord Of The Rings – Fellowship Of The Rings (Entertainment in Video) off the number-one position. The Lord of the Rings trilogy still dominates the charts, with each film holding a place in the top five best-selling titles, coming in at number two, three and five, selling in total almost 16m copies. The Pirates Of The Caribbean – The Curse Of The Black Pearl (The Walt Disney Company) comes in at number four, having sold just over 5m copies to date. Martin Talbot, Managing Director of OCC said: “Mamma Mia! is truly a phenomenon of our time, with one in four households now owning a copy.” Mamma Mia! is the third-biggest grosser ever at the UK theatrical box office behind Avatar and Toy Story 3.

Hi all ! I found a interview of Judy Craymer of last November and she makes a small mention about a Mamma Mia ! sequel . This is my favourite movie of Pierce . I became a fan of he in this movie . Always I have been hoping but rumors ceased . But I can see the producers continue with the idea. Who do you think about this topic? blogs.artinfo.com/playbyplay/2013/11/08/mamma-mia-hits-a-major-milestone/PD : I think that have to follow the same actors . Sorry for my english

HAPPY MAMMA MIA DAY!
This is evidently a thing. People are wishing each other Happy Mamma Mia day on Twitter. It was released fourteen years ago from the day I write this post.
Mamma Mia was and is much bigger overseas than it ever was in the US. As I predicted he did get crucified for his singing by the press, but as Benny Anderson pointed out in an interview it is because people can't handle James Bond singing. What I have read on #bondtwitter bears this out. But really, if the production team felt his singing was that bad (and I read a reflection piece that kind of implies that they do) they should have dubbed him or gotten him a better vocal coach.
Tonight (again, on the night I am typing this) Turner Classic Movies is airing the movie version of Tommy and I guess some of the performances in that film are making Pierce's version look good.
I think if he is left to his own devices and isn't nervous (and they all were when making both movies) he can sing nicely. I'd like to see him do The Masked Singer. That would be adorable.

Pierce should be very happy with one his his former NBC Network colleagues. Why? Last Wednesday, February 22, 2023, was "ABBA Night" on The Masked Singer and a character called the Rock Lobster performed "SOS." It was, shall we say, a unique rendition. Certainly one that puts Pierce's singing in a whole new light. Here is the link to the performance, but be warned, the link contains a spoiler of who it is, in case you want to want to watch the whole episode: Rock Lobster sings SOS

A very nice write up on Mamma Mia and a bit on Here We Go Again in the latest British Vogue. The oral history includes interviews with principal cast members, behind the scenes information, and if they could just come up with an idea for #3 it might happen. Thank you for the memories ....
