Has anyone got ahold of the December Playboy issue yet? Do you think that the articles in Playboy are same in the whole world? I´m just wondered if in Czech Playboy is the same interview... I have never bought Playboy before I´m not a good type for these magazines...What will the shop assistent say, when I will want to buy it in my age - 15??

There's a little glimpse of the interview up at the Playboy website (saw it at Yvo's board). It is frank indeed. I can't wait to read the whole thing.

Kristýna, I have no idea about universality of interviews or articles in Playboy. Some magazines have different content depending on the counrty, some have the similiar content but published in other montsh . If the maagazine has the interview I'd assume his name would be on the front of cover though. As for the age of buying one, that also depends on the country and their laws. Some images from their site that I assume are in the magazine with the interview. Looks like he did it in Sept.

I believe that the main interviews will be in the foreign Playboy magazines, too. But maybe the Pierce issue will be in later editions than the December one. I remember that I bought the German edition of Playboy with an David Duchovny interview that was originally out in the US one month before. Well, don't you think he will pay more attention at the Playboy cover? Let's hope so.

I also think, it could be here later... In November Premiere (US version) was the interview with Pierce about The Matador, but in Czech, there was one Czech movie and Tim Burton... I still hope, they´ll give it here in December or January I can hope :-) Or I can say, I´m buying it for my daddy

I don't understand it. What is the problem to buy an issue of "Playboy"?

I don't understand it. What is the problem to buy an issue of "Playboy"? Playboy itself isn't a problem at least not for me. It's the fact that it's usually shelved with all the hardcore sex and skin mags -- instead of with the general magazines -- and this requires picking thorugh and staring at things many people would rather not pick through and stare at, especially when being watched by the sales guy. The bigger problem is that the issue doesn't seem to have hit general stands yet and I can't find a bloody copy! Ace

Try showing it to your family and explaining you bought it for pictures.

Is it possible we can have a designated PlayBoy buyer for those of us squeamish about buying it.

Like Ace said... I don´t like the staring, especially when I live in the city, where everyone knows me and whole my family.

Try showing it to your family and explaining you bought it for pictures. If the Playboy would come out in Germany with the Pierce interview I wouldn't have a problem to buy it. And I talked with my dad today about that and he immediately offers me to buy it for me - LOL. respectanimals: Thank you so much for the large scans ;D

I don't have a problem buying PlayBoy, either, but I want to know if it's worth buying first. Now, what I do have a problem with is opening a URL that has "playboy" in it at work - it may work but I'd rather not find our, so I'll have to wait until tonight to read it.

Oh, thank you! This interview is wonderful -- in turns passionate, angry, vulnerable, wry, self deprecating and very funny. I need a copy right now. Ace

I was able to snag a copy during lunch. Considering the $7 price tag, I think I should have bought a yearly subscritption last month for $19.99, kept this issue and gave the others as a gift. Still it's worth it.

It's been a long time since I read Playboy -- and the cliche is true it is worth buying for the articles. There's also a very good 20 questions with Al Pacino (by one of my favorite interviewer Lawrence Grobel who's done a couple of excellent interviews with PB) and a few other articles that look interesting. Pity about the airbrushed plastic chicks that take up way too much room. Ace
