There's a wonderful personal blog Here In The Hills (she has some marvelous stories about her life) and she had this post up last winter on which she gave 4 facts from her life and had people guess which was false. Here in the Hills: Truth Time gives her answers, the last of which involves Pierce. It's not news, but it is ephemera and it's such a lovely remembrance I felt like sharing.

Too charming. And what a strapping feline that new kitten turned out to be!
In probably one of the only safe things I could fantasize about if the SMA lived next door, I'm imagining the younger Brosnans enquiring solicitously about my bulldog..
Is he dead?
No, dears. Just asleep.
Though I expect the snoring would probably clue them in.

Approaching and celebrating her 75th birthday she had a beautiful entry in her blog about all the cats in her life over the years where she mentions getting her Miss Moon. The concept of Pierce knocking at my door, pad in hand to give me his phone number in case I needed anything just doesn't compute. My unbidden knockers are more along the line of census takers, meter men, girl scouts and Jehovah Witnesses. Ace

So are mine. You know where we went wrong when chosing the real estate, don't you? Location, location, location...

Now you've gone and done it!
Now I'm dreaming of Pierce, eyebrow raised, at my doorstep, exclaiming (a la Gene Wilder in Young Frankenstein)
"What knockers!"
To which my reply would be (chest out) -- "Oh, thank you, They're original."

Will you follow that up by suggesting a roll in the hay? There are times when I can't watch that hayloft scene in "Steele Your Heart Away" without thinking of Laura rolling back and forth. "Roll, r-roll, r-roll in da hay!" "Laura, help me out here. Have you always had that German accent?" Oh, and to return to the subject, more or less, has everyone seen this hilarious cat-robatic video up on youtube? For fun, go here: Me- owwww!

This is so sweet! Kind of confirms one's feeling about him, doesn't it?
