Heh. Inventive. I don't know how it is in Ireland, in the States anyone can obtain anyone's birth certificate for about $7.00. And here is another one. I've been looking through the person's history and found this and this. Can somebody, please, explain why anyone would buy used railroad tickets? Maybe it makes one feel close to the land of their ancestors, I don't know. I'd rather buy a postcard.

Some people collect matchbooks and I guess some collect railroad tickets, cheaper than traveling I guess. As for Birth Cetificates I don't know why anyone would want someone elses. There used to be a site on the net that sold them as well as death certicates from the UK and Ireland. Unless you need one sent to you because you're wiritng a biography etc and need some official verification I don't know what the allure is. Ace

Just a wild thought... Suppose a fan approaches a star, asking for an autograph - and hands the star's birth certificate. What will the star's reaction be?

;D ;D ;D I'd love to know, but I wouldn't want to be the person to try it.

Presumably being able to obtain anyone's birth certificate would aid greatly in identity theft, although obviously one could hardly show up in person with it and claim to be PB. cg
