I'm frequently amazed, while casually flipping through the channels, how many actors I see on TV whom I can identify as having worked with PB. Just last night he appeared at the Golden Globes Awards where I counted half a dozen of his former leading ladies in attendance. The man has gotten around!
Last week TNT ran "Dante's Peak", and I recognized an old nemisis from Remington Steele. There among the members of the town council was Martin Rome, the rival caviar dealer from "Steele Spawning." I think his name in the movie was Norman, and the mayor asked him to look for something in a file cabinet. As he walked by Pierce, I swear he gave him a double-take, as if to say, "Don't I know you from someplace? Didn't you once try to kill me by locking me in a walk-in freezer with Louie Anderson?"
Does anyone else find it interesting identifying PB colleagues on the small and large screen?

I see Virginia Mayo just died. This quote taken from Yahoo:
<She remained active as an actress in television roles through the 1980s and 1990s, taking guest roles in such hit shows as "Murder, She Wrote," "The Love Boat," and "Remington Steele," opposite Pierce Brosnan.>
I had just seen her on the Turner Movie Classics channel in "Walter Mitty" with Danny Kaye and nodded to myself what a nice lady she was then, and also when she appeared on RS. George Mulch and his plans for Virginia Mayo Mayonaise.

I'm sorry to say (only because I'm sure she has many better roles to her credit!) that George Mulch and his mayonnaise was the first thing I thought of when I saw her obit. My apologies to Ms. Mayo. cg

Ohh, I absolutely love PB-co-star-spotting!! ;D Every time I'd see one of them I'd rack my brains for who they played in which movie. Thanks for the alert on Norman/Martin Rome! He always looked familiar, but I could never place him. That would of course explain PB's double-take on him, which I'd also noticed.
Sorry to hear about Ms Mayo's passing away. I saw said RS episode only recently.

Yes, PB-co-star-spotting is a worthy mental exercise for us! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does this - I think it's fun.
Does everyone have the Noble House videos? Do you all know Bron Roylance? (He is PB's makeup artist, he served as Best Man at the 2001 wedding, and it is Bron whom we can thank for many of piercebrosnan.com's "Pic of the Day" photos.) Anyway, if you care to check this out, Roylance appears in the lounge of the Hong Kong racetrack, there among the upper-crust crowd who are listening to some dramatic announcement the Taipan (not you, Ace) is making.
When you consider how many years ago Noble House was shot, it appears Mr. Roylance hasn't aged a day in all that time. Either that, or he is some kind of genius in his craft. Well, yeah, I guess he would have to be, to so successfully hide all of PB's adorable freckles. (Bron: call me.)

Bron's first film was on "10" with Bo Derek when he was 21, that was 1979 so now he's 45. And yes, he looks great. Any idea when that scene with Bron in NH takes place? As for PB recognizing all his minor co-stars, um, maybe not. He says on the Evelyn DVD that he only knew Frank Kelly from his work as Father Ted. This despite the fact that he worked with him TWICE before, on RS and in Taffin. Ace

LOL, yes, I noticed that, too. When I watched PB bio that aired last year, the thing that struck me most was the way Bron looked. Everybody else was very polished - clothes, make-up, professional hairdos... Bron looked like a man who'd just rolled off the bed - or emerged from a gutter he'd been digging; jeans, plaid shirt, basebal hat turned with the visor back, locks sticking from underneath. That man only used mirrors to look at other people's faces. I'm not saying he looked bad, no, just completely different from everybody else and, IMO, inapropriate for the occasion. Errr... SparklingBlue... :: Shameless bit of self-advertising :: Next time you wonder where you've seen this or that co-star, go to my site, find the movie you're watching, and look for A Bit O'Trivia or something like that - I have most of them listed and linked. Most, though not all - a few are still on the shelf and I'm sure I missed a few more, so additions are welcome. Which reminds me - most of them means most who appeared in movies, not in multiple episodes of RS. I keep meaning to do that, too, by my list and myself are at different computers. Time of that broadcast will be announced separately. You may now return to your regularly scheduled goss... er, posting.

Given the SMA’s memory deficit, we shouldn’t hold out too much hope if they were to snag him for first season, etc. DVD commentary that he’d be a walking encyclopedia of RS lore. It would be interesting, though, to see what bits he does recall, LOL!
What he needs is a personal secretary (appointed for life if he’s lucky). A dame with a mind like a steel trap. An ex-cryptographer at Bletchley Park or someone the image of Katharine Hepburn’s librarian in Desk Set -- complete with gray security cupboard filled with files, dutifully cross referenced to his life and times. But in truth, it's her memory that's irreplaceable by computer (as if they’d even try).
PB: I’ve been thinking. Biopics are hot this year. Maybe we should dust off that project about the photographer chap, what’s his name?
Miss Watson: [looks up from addressing Christmas cards] Robert Capa, I believe.
PB: You really think I could pull off an Armenian accent?
Miss Watson: Hungarian, I think you’ll find.
PB: Stone’s throw, really, I suppose.
Miss Watson: Not quite, sir.
PB: I ran into that guy who did Kinsey at the Golden Globes. Bill, ah.. [snaps fingers]
Miss Watson: Condon.
PB: Right. He might be the perfect choice for this biography gig.
Miss Watson: Shall I contact him for you?
PB: Y’know. It’s funny. He acted like he’d known me for years.
Miss Watson: He directed you in Murder 101, sir.
PB: [double take] That college campus thingie at USC?
Miss Watson: UCLA. Class of 1991.
PB: Are you sure? [beat] Of course you are. Good lord! That was back in the day! I wonder how we got on?
Miss Watson: Like a house on fire, sir.
PB: And why not? Ring him up. We’ll have a nice, long chat about old times.

I'll be watching my Noble House tapes this weekend, so I'll watch out for Bron and tell you all about it. I never noticed before him, but that might be attributed to the fact that pre-Actor's Studio I didn't know what he looked like. We have so much to thank this man for: enhancing Pierce's beauty, taking lovely personal photos... Yuliya, thanks for the links to your site. They'll be bookmarked for future refercence. Ah, yes, before I forget. I volunteer as PB's very own Moneypenny. ;D ;D ;D

Yes, he is indeed there. It's right at the beginning of part four. It was very nice watching the show, especially when Dunross was striding around in his own dangerous-yet-restrained way, like a tiger. Of course the romance parts aren't bad either.

I spotted him as well, around the 4:20m mark. Too bad the video quality is so bad that a still capture from it is almost useless in that he's a grainy blur in the background.

Great list. One I think you missed from a quick scan. Christopher Lee worked with PB in Detonator/Death Train (General Konstantin Benin) and Around The World in 80 Days (Stuart) Edit some more: Director John McKenzie: Long Good Friday and The Fourth Protocol Joe Don Baker: GE/TND and Mars Attacks (Richie's Dad) Annette Benning: Love Affair (Terry McKay ) & Mars Attacks (Barbara Land) Terry O'Quinn: Coffee Steele Or Me (Chuck McBride) & Don't talk to Strangers (Bonner) (love him on LOST!) Julian Glover: Steele Searching (Inspector Lombard) ; Fourth Protocol (Brian Harcourt-Smith ), Nancy Astor (Lord Revelstoke) Great trivia according to Bond director John Glen in his book, Glover told him when they were looking for a new Bond around the time of casting FYEO that there was this young actor Pierce Brosnan he should look at. This is before filming and before Cassie was cast and PB was seen by Cubby. Glover was later cast as the villian of FYEO) Oh and to be really obscure: Phil Meheaux directed Blood Sports on The Professionals. He was later the cinematographer for Long Good Friday, Fourth Protocol and Goldeneye.

Thanks. I didn't recognize Bonner and McKenzie slipped through the cracks. As for Glover, I'm going to look for him right now - I know he was there, so I wonder if I commented out a line or something. Later edit - obscure, indeed. How do you find them? Thank you for providing the links.

I don't know if I'm not wandering too far from the purpose of the list with this, but here you go: - John Hubbard did the casting on Taffin, Evelyn and Laws of Attraction.
- Joan Bergin did the costume design on Evelyn and Laws of Attraction.
**Edit: Checked the end credits for The Nephew and haven't found a mention of Hubbard. Just thought I'll mention this for completion's sake. I don't mind if you choose not to include JH and JB in the list.
