Does anybody know the correct order of the third Season episodes? Cause I know they were aired in different order of them being filmed. And you can tell thanks to Pierce's hair. Thanks anyway.

The best way to track the season actually is through Pierce's hair. The one episode that stands out for me as being in the most glaringly wrong place is Steele In The Chips because the Network didn't like it and kept pushing it back until the end of the season. I think someone posted a list of the "correct" order somewhere before, maybe Yuliya has it since her site has some great lists. Ace

As a matter of fact, she does. But it will be of no use in that matter since I don't have that information on my site. No one knows the exact order in which the episodes were filmed. At least no one we know. One can guess from the length of Remington's hair, which was cut too short after PB finished filming "Nomads," and from Laura and Remington's relationship - the closer they are, the later in the season. Debra came up with an approximate list, which I will copy here: "Steele at It" "Lofty Steele" "Breath of Steele" "Maltese Steele" "2nd Base Steele" "Steele in the Chips" "Gourmet Steele" "Let's Steele a Plot" "Puzzled Steele" "Stronger Than Steele" "Pocketful of Steele" "Steele Your Heart Away" "Have I Got a Steele for You" "Cast in Steele" "Blue Blooded Steele" "Springtime for Steele" "Diced Steele" "Steele in the Family" "Now You Steele It, Now You Don't" "Illustrated Steele" "Steele Trying" "Steele of Approval" The list to which Ace referred to was also Debra's; I looked at it, and it's almost the same, with a couple of minor exceptions. Welcome to the board, Laura. And in case you want to look at other lists and some other stuff I have on my site, it's at remingtonzeal.t35.com/.

Yuliya, the 3rd season order list I posted at SteeleWatchers today is the same revised list I posted to the PAX board in 2002.
As far as shows being filmed in chronological order, that doesn't always mean they were meant to be aired that way. For example, I've heard that the last episode filmed was "Beg, Borrow, or Steele", but we all know that "Bonds" was always meant to be the final 4th season episode.
All we can do in regard to the correct order of 3rd season episodes is speculate.

Debra, I don't remember the discussion on the PAX board, though I'm sure there was (at least) one, but I think you once sent me this list in email. Anyway, I have it with a note that it came from you. Like I said, the differences are minor.
Steele at It Lofty Steele Maltese Steele Second Base Steele Breath of Steele Steele in the Chips Gourmet Steele Let's Steele a Plot Puzzled Steele Stronger Than Steele Pocketful of Steele Steele Your Heart Away Have I Got a Steele for You Cast in Steele Blue Blooded Steele Springtime for Steele Diced Steele Steele in the Family Now You Steele It, Now You Don't Illustrated Steele Steele Trying Steele of Approval

I still haven't the third season so I cannot look at the end credits. Didn't have the episodes production codes to see the production order? I know this from the X-Files with codes at the end of every episode, which state the season and the number of the episdoe. For example 9X19.

Yuliya, the only difference in the list I posted and the one I sent you is that I had moved "Breath of Steele" up closer to the beginning because of PB's super short hair. I originally created/posted the list because of a discussion on the PAX board.
With RS scripts, the production numbers don't really have any bearing on the order in which the episodes took place or the order in which they were filmed. They seem pretty arbitrary.

I originally created/posted the list because of a discussion on the PAX board. Well, I said the differences were minor. I know that. I sorted those episodes by the production numbers long ago, when I was interested in figuring out the correct order. But when the question was brought up, I felt compelled to, er, share, that is... Are you implying there was more to it than a desire to share the information?

> I sorted those episodes by the production numbers long ago, when I was interested in figuring out the correct order. . . I used to call the local station manager weekly to find out which episodes they were showing and she always gave me production numbers instead of titles. So I had to sit down with all the scripts and write down the numbers. >Are you implying there was more to it than a desire to share the information? Not at all. It's interesting to see the production number order; I just didn't want someone to mistakenly think the production numbers had any relevance. Debra

Thanks for the lists and the discussion, Ladies. I do remember the discussion from the PAX board. (Have we been doing this THAT long!?) I do kind of remember it being discussed that the production codes didn't jive in the case of RS, not that it matters to me. I think you ladies are the best detectives ever and I'll trust your instincts, and your lists. PS - on the RemingtonZeal site, in the commentary about season three episode order, the person with the varying lengths of hair is referred to as Ms. Steele. Could that be a typo?

Yes, of course, it's a typo; thanks. I forgot I even had those notes there. Maybe I should upload the lists as well.

I know every list I've seen about the order of the Third Season gives Steele At It as being the first filmed. Not to be argumentative or anything, but, I've always noticed the startling contract in Steele's hair in the episodes Steele At It and Lofty Steele. In Lofty, his hair is noticably shorter. So I assume that Lofty was actually done first, even though At It was definitely meant to be the season opener, even if it was filmed later. Or maybe that's what everybody's saying and I'm just now getting it. Ug! Just for the record, I really am enjoying Season Three - again. I think the first and the third seasons have always been my favorites - although I do like all of them in general. It's tough to chose a favorite amoung favorites.

Myrtle,
"St. at It" was not filmed first, but it was always meant to be the opening episode of 3rd season. That was the year the Olympics were in LA and several series filmed episodes on location in Europe. RS filmed the episodes with PB's short hair before they left for locations in Europe. So those episodes were the ones filmed first and they're the episodes that were supposed to have happened soon after L's Cannes decision. The problem was that NBC scattered around the estranged episodes basically at random.

Thanks, Debra, for the explanation. Everyone seems more observant, so I always feel rather inadequate when I have to ask for clarification.
