I spent a good bit of Sunday and have begun tonight to sort and view my RS tapes. My "collection" of PAXed episodes was such a wreck, and organization was definitely in order, not to mention getting rid of the ones that were fuzzy and in bad shape, I decided to get to work. Need to make room for my new DVD set. My point being, on watching these episodes, it's noticable how chopped the episodes are. Some stuff that was cut out was important to the story. One cut of Steele Sweet on You cuts out the scene of Donald's partner and the Dental Assistant frolicking in the dental chair and Frances calling, interrupting them. When we see her in Laura's office, we have no idea why she is so upset and what triggered her visit to Laura besides the suspicious receipts. Also, they don't show Laura's first encounter with the chocolatiers at the hotel. She when she and Steele meet them again, Laura's shock and temptation doesn't make much sense. Cho-cho-cho-colate. There were lots of very annoying cuts in this episode. Another point, I'm making, is that it's been a while since I watched several episodes at one time, and it was lots of fun. I recommend it for anyone who hasn't seen them in some time, especially if you need some eye candy.

I spent so much time and effort getting copies of RS on tpae, from all different stations and airing that I won't know what to do with them by the time we get all the DVD sets. Heck I don't know what to do with the first season tapes. It seems a crime to tape over them or toss them away.

If the DVD never comes out in R2, you're welcome to ship them to Germany. Just kidding.

I know what you mean, Ace. I don't have copies from every station and every syndication experience, but it's very difficult to get rid of even one tape. What is making it easier for me are the ones that are blurry, or otherwise damaged. Also, I have so many botched up PAXed versions, I'm willing to sacrifice some of them. I'm keeping my factory-made tapes and the ones I have from the original NBC run (only a few of them) and a few others. Most definitely will not get rid of seasons 2-5 until the DVDs come out. Anyway, what I'm saying is I'm keeping at least one set of everything on tape, which equals to about 60-70 tapes. Most tapes have two episodes, but a few only have one. I realized I must do something about my tapes when we were told to evacuate for a hurricane last year, and I had to choose which tapes I could take with me. Another thing, is that so many places are no longer selling video tapes, so that means the demise of VCRs and players can't be far off. Now I'm thinking I should stock up on a lifetime supply of VCRs, just in case.

Must be nice to have factory made or originals. Mine are all A&E or Paxed. cg
