Joey, Joey, Joey and Drew - The Tour
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I saw the show tonight! It was fabulous!
The Joeys and Drew were wonderful. They did songs from The Rat Pack era and they were super. Wonderful, wonderful stuff. I know they sang "Lady is a Tramp" - the number Frank Sinatra insulted Rita Hayworth with in the movie "Pal Joey" -- quite apropos that a trio of Joeys would sing a song from that movie.
Louie looks great in person. My gosh he's a great dancer and choreographer. The dances and songs were out of this world.
The crowd went wild over Drew and Cheryl's Ride A Horse, Save A Cowboy number, and when Cheryl rode Drew when he was on the floor, they almost brought the house down. This couple is made for each other, their movements meld together. They haven't lost their knack. They look like a professional dancing couple.
They also did their Thriller Paso Doble. Need I say more?
Joey Fatone and Kym did their perfect score freestyle to thunderous applause.
Joey Lawrence and Edyta knocked us dead with Singing In The Rain.
Joey McIntyre and Julienne moved us with Move It, Move It, Move It or whatever the heck the song's name is. She wore that same little outfit she wore when she did the dance with Apolo. Her hair is curly now and lots of the time it was flopping in her face.
They did so many dances, I can't remember all of them. The group did the Hey, Big Spender number from Sweet Charity. Hey, Big Spender, spend a little time with me. I drove my mother crazy with that song when I was a teenager. She thought I was practicing to be a stripper or a hooker.
Joey M and Julienne (I think it was them) did a fun dance to the James Bond theme music.
There were many company dancers, too. Everyone was so good and so professional. It was worth the money just to watch the fun. And we had very good seats!
Joey Lawrence just completed his Broadway run in "Chicago". He has a great singing voice.
Everyone has figures out of this world - male and female, and they're all gorgeous.
The show ran about two hours with a 20-minute intermission.
Season Premiere of DWTS Season 5 is September 24th.
Toughest part of it all was after the show all the restaurants in Baton Rouge were closed! At 10 o'clock on a Saturday night! Including McDonald's. Sheeeesh.
