Debra, and there are two more he's supposedly filming in October - though how that's exactly supposed to work out unless The Coup is just a few days work is beyond me.

Pierce Brosnan films Nick Hornby movie in HighgateHeathman, Reporter Friday, September 7, 2012 Staff at a historic Highgate home were left shaken and more than a little stirred by the appearance of Hollywood A-lister Pierce Brosnan. Pierce Brosnan with staff at Lauderdale HousePierce Brosnan with staff at Lauderdale House The Irish heart throb pitched up at Lauderdale House on Thursday (September 6) for his first day of filming on A Long Way Down, an adaptation of the Nick Hornby’s dark comedy set in Archway. The 59-year-old former James Bond wandered the corridors of the 1582 home as a swarm of extras, dog walkers and park users, gathered in Waterlow Park to begin filming. Although he might have passed on the 007 role to a young pretender the silver fox was up to his old tricks as he tinkled the ivories of the historic as staff swooned around him. General manager Katherine Ives confided in Heathman: “He was absolutely charming, you would never have known he was such a mega star. “He certainly lived up to everyone’s expectations.” The film star, who used to live in Highgate, was showered with fake rain during filming and towelled himself off and changed in the house, to the delight of his female admirers on set. After lunch he made his way up to long gallery upstairs for a second session on a Sébastien Érard piano. “He talked about how he had learned the piano when he was an out-of-work actor and he was trying to remember if he could play it,” said Katherine. “Let’s just say it sounded like he was trying to remember which was what he said.”

www.comingsoon.net/news/torontonews.php?id=94708TIFF Exclusive: Aaron PaulSource: Edward Douglas September 13, 2012 [Excerpt] CS: It happens a lot with festival and maybe when you spend too much time over-thinking things, you screw things up. Are you generally trying to do movies in between each season? Paul: Yeah, I like to try and stay busy, as long as it's something that's honest and something that I'm passionate about. I'd rather not work. But, yeah, I'm doing a film right now called "A Long Way Down." It's a Nick Hornby novel that's adapted and I'm super-excited about it. We're shooting right now. I flew in from London yesterday and then I go back tomorrow and it's a great cast, but yeah. CS: Have you met Nick yet? Paul: Yeah, we had dinner together last week. He's a great guy, super-talented and I think the script does the novel justice, so I think he's happy with it. CS: That's directed with a fairly new director, right? Paul: Yeah, it's Pascal-I'm going to slaughter his last name (Chaumeil). He's this French director, brilliant, but a great cast. It's these four strangers that find themselves on the same rooftop on New Year's Eve all wanting to commit suicide. It's Toni Collette, Pierce Brosnan, Imogen Poots and myself. CS: Are you British in that? Paul: No, my character J.J. is the only American. Hopefully it'll be here next year at Toronto. I'm really excited about it.

This is great news!! I've been waiting for this forever. Sam Neill and Pierce Brosnan - my two favourite actors - in the same movie!! Considering the variety of films each of them has done over the last 30+ years, I knew it was only a matter of time they would end up in the same project one day. It's Sam's 65th birthday today! He bought himself a case of his own wine. Come on, Pierce & Co. - don't let him drink these delicious bottles alone! Lauryn, Decades later and I'm still scratching my head over Judy Davis' decision in My Brilliant Career. Aren't we all. If he had been in some way wrong for her, it might make sense. i just wanted to shake her and say, "Good Lord, woman! Can't you multi-task?!" They really had wonderful chemistry together as actors and as those characters. Added an A Long Way Down section - articles, photos - the usual pbfiles2.cixx6.com/lwd/index.html[/quote]

www.thisisfakediy.co.uk/articles/film/sam-neill-rosamund-pike-join-nick-hornby-adaptation-a-long-way-down/Sam Neill, Rosamund Pike Join Nick Hornby Adaptation A Long Way DownPosted 17th September 2012 With filming underway on the adaptation of Nick Hornby's A Long Way Down, two new cast members have been announced.Sam Neill and Rosamund Pike will now join stars Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette, Aaron Paul and Imogen Poots for director Pascal Chaumeil (Heartbreaker, Fly Me to the Moon). Previous Hornby adaptations include Fever Pitch, About a Boy and High Fidelity, with Jack Thorne (How I Live Now, The Scouting Book for Boys) charged with adapting the screenplay. New Year's Eve on the top of a London skyscraper. Martin (Brosnan) is literally on the edge. A once-beloved TV personality, he's now desperate to jump. But he's not alone. Single mother Maureen, (Collette), sassy teen Jess (Poots), and failed musician turned pizza-delivery boy JJ (Paul), have all turned up on the same roof with the same plan. Instead of jumping, these four strangers make a pact to stay alive and stay together until Valentine's Day at least. Both funny and poignant, A Long Way Down follows this group of unlikely friends as they try to pull back from the brink. Christine Langan, head of BBC Films, said in a press release: "Nick Hornby's challenging yet heartwarming novel is safe in the hands of dynamic screenwriter Jack Thorne, dazzling director Pascal Chaumeil and accomplished producers, Finola Dwyer and Amanda Posey. The alchemy is further reflected in the wonderfully talented, funny and brilliant cast they have brought together for this highly original movie and we are extremely proud to be a part of it." Neill was recently seen in The Hunter and The Vow, and will star in New Zealand TV drama Harry. Pike has just wrapped Jack Reacher with Tom Cruise, and was recently added to the cast of Pegg, Frost and Wright's The World's End.
