Hi, I've got a problem and hopefully you can help me. I saw LoA yesterday. It was the english version but I'm not quite good to understand because I'm austrian. Well, now my question: what kind of "nuts" should have be in the drink? I didn't understand it. It would be kind if somebody helps me

No need to blush The drink was called "Goat Nuts" (as in the testicles of a goat) but after she spat it out he explained they really weren't they were just cherries. Did LOA already open in Austria? If so what day? Ace

I've checked a couple of the Austrian movie sites and there isn't a release date for it yet. Strange, because there are in Germany and Switzerland and usually films open in those countries around the same time. Ace

The weird thing is that it doesn't seem to get any publicity here in Germany. I flipped through some cinema magazines today, and there was nothing about the movie, though it should be in the August issues as it's coming out in less than two weeks.

The movie seems to almost have a different distributor in each country and how much they each "push" I gather is up to what they read the individual market to be like for the film. They're also smaller so they have less money to spend on publicity so they might wait until the couple of weeks before it opens. But Germany traditionally likes US romantic comedies so it's surprising there's not more publicity.
But then you can never guess how a film will do in certain countries. It's done well in Russia, Turkey, Greece, Brazil, Bulgaria for example, and not so well (comparatively speaking, they're larger markets afterall) in the UK and Australia (where it didn't really open wide). But then comparatively Tailor of Panama did better in France and Italy than in the UK and Germany, and Evelyn did much much better in Australia than France etc etc.

We'll have to wait and see. I've not given up hope. Just struck me as odd because they cover every movie that opens, no matter how big/small/good/bad it is.
