Hello there,
over Pierce' official website it is possible as member to get his autograph picture. Does anyone from this board requested for this autograph? How long did it take that got it in your mailbox? I like to ask this to the overseas fans. Maybe some Germans can share their experience how long it took to deliver.

I was wondering the same thing, I was wanting to write to him and ask for an autograph but wasn't sure. I did it with Stephen Collin's website and actually got an autograph but of course Pierce Brosnan is a much bigger name and probably alot busier then Stephen Collins. LOL. Incase anyone is wondering, Stephen Collins is the father from 7th Heaven .

I saw that on there and thought it was really cool that he had that. i must ask tho, to those who have it, is it a reproduced signature, like a stamp or something, or is it actually sharpied on? lol im quite interested in this, but am curious.

Hi, well mine is done by hand in a gold pen, and is definately an original! you kinda know when they are not genuine! Having seen some of the out and out fakes on ebay that people actually bid on it makes me laugh because some of them are awful! I think also that the picture changes quite often as i have 3 different ones! Mel x

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but as far as I know the fan club autographs are done by autopen - meaning it's his signature but reproduced because of the sheer quantity The best way to get an original is either in person (hard) or sending a SASE and photo when he's filming on location. He seems to do quite a bit of signing then www.geocities.com/hollywood/set/7962/fake.htmThe Autopen is a machine which signs an autograph in the celebrity's handwriting. It was developed in the early part of this century but only became popular in the late 1940's. The process of creating an autopen signature is as follows--a celebrity signs his name once on a sheet of paper, and a pattern or template is created for the machine at the Autopen company. When the template is installed, the Autopen machine is then able to recreate the autograph. The item to be "autographed" is inserted under the arm, the motor is turned on, and the pen moves according to the matrix design. The signature that is produced is identical to the celebrity’s own signature, but it now can be produced at a rate of hundreds per hour by a secretary. Since the resulting signature is in the handwriting of the celebrity and is drawn with an actual pen, the only sure way to tell if a signature is an Autopen is to compare it to a known sample of the pattern.
