Here was this beautiful brown eyed girl, who was a real pistol. And people said we didn’t get on but actually we DID get on. We both have our style of performance and acting and there was a great trust in each other. ~ Pierce Brosnan
When did Pierce say this about Stephanie? Does anybody know?

I got this quote from the Remington Steele Season1 US DVD set. Pierce did interviews for this boxset and said this about their time.

Oh that's great! Thanks for the information. It does change things, doesn't it? I mean, I've always thought Pierce didn't like Stephanie at all.
Thanks again

Grrrr there was me thinking there would just be a US release of the DVDs. Nevermind as long as they dont change anything and the cover art i'm ok with it

Ah, I assume this means you already bought Region 1. But think you'd have had to wait another year plus for each release. The UK is just getting Season One in December, how long before the U.K. Season 4&5?
I think th main difference will be that they won't be flipper discs. Amazon France lists Saeson One as SIX dics. But the BBFC has the exact same listed extras on Season One that was on the U.S. release so the content will be the same.

Yes I have bought the Region 1 DVDs and went out and even bought a Multi regoin dvd player. Lol how desperate was I? I dont care really it would prob be about another year before I finally got my hands on seasons 4&5 Region 2 wise. I'm not complaning or anything cause i'd rather have the Region 1 versions as their far more cheaper to buy lol

I also bought a new DVD player and had it hacked (psst! ), but I don't regret it. There are so many DVDs with PB stuff out in the US that I can't get anywhere else. When it comes to getting one's hands on PB, time is of the essence. ;D

OK, did anyone here buy the Season One DVD that just came out in Sweden? A poster on Steelewatchers just got hers and it seems like License has a Pierce/Gleason commentary that was originally done then for some reason pulled for the Gleason/Butler one we got on R1. If so, I want details (heck I want the audio ) but details will do for now. I just checked -- it sells for 449 Kr -- about $65 even before shipping to the U.S. Outrageous and yet I am tempted. I wantssssssssss it.

Be careful; I do think she misheard it. Even if a wrong commentary got on those DVDs, no one ever said there was a commentary done by PB.

Judith just confirmed there was an original Pierce/Gleason commentary that was pulled and replaced. It would be a huge coincidence for that buyer to have heard one on that very episode where a commentary had been made and mistake Pierce's voice and introducing himself and some of the comments made that weren't made by Pierce or anyone else on the U.S. R1 extras -- "slip of a lass".
Hmmmm......

The only thing Judith said that arrived in my mailbox was this:
The commentary with Michael and Robert Butler is actually the second one produced for that episode. The original was pulled and FOX was advised that it was not to be used under any circumstances. I've also got a call in to my rep at FOX to have a set sent over and I'll let you know if they're different as soon as I've seen it.
She doesn't say the original commentary was by Pierce and Gleason, just that there was another commentary. Of course, she doesn't say it wasn't by PB, either.
If it's by him, I do hope somebody will be able to make a sound file.

If the Pierce/Gleason commentary wasn't done then I doubt Judith would have stated anything about another commentary having been made and pulled when someone said they'd just listened to it. Why not just say that commentray wasn't ever made -- or that none was made with Pierce and she was mistaken? Considering the quality of several of the other commentaries on the set and that the original commentator didn't remark on anything outrageous or strange about it -- I'm at a loss to figure out why it was pulled unless it was for money. It's just very dissapointing. By the quality of Pierce's three film DVD commentaries he does them very well -- charming, gracious, funny, conversational, informed and often insightful. Even if it was subpar for him it would be worth a listen. He remarked in a small interview with Time last year that he'd had to recently rewatch the show for the DVD release. I always wondered why he did if all he did was comment in the featurettes. Now I know why. Ace

Well, then maybe somebody can kindly burn one us a copy of that DVD... which these days is sometimes easier than making a sound file...

OK, somebody else just confirmed that PB/Gleason commentary does exist, though not for publication, and it seems like the Swedish release got it by mistake. Now I wantssssss it, too...

Just mindboggling. They get PB to take the time to do it (and let's face it he doesn't have to) and then they exclude it for a largely redundant (they repeat much of what they said on Tempered) commentary by Gleason and Butler. It just sucks.
The Region 2 discs are already better because they're not flippers and they have Steele cover art on the discs themselves. And now they get this extra as well.... grrrrr.

I'm forever telling you told you Europe always gets better stuff and you're forever bringing up all the good stuff that we have and they don't, and why would I care about that?

Of course we got them 1 1/2 years earlier and now can buy all 4 sets on DDD on sale for about the cost of that one set in Sweden. OK, I feel slightly better now. Ace

Ace, does YouSendIt have a limit on how many times something can be downloaded or on how long any specific file is available?
