Tab Hunter? Tab Hunter? Tab Hunter? Is he a naitive son of New Orleans because otherwise I fail to comprehend what Tab Hunter would even have to say about acting that would so pack in the crowds at a Tennessee Williams Festival. Ah now that I recall he did have that autobography that recently came out about the makng of a movie star that was very well reviewed. So his panel may very well have been interesting.

The fest audience may have keen to explore a side of the acting world Tab Hunter could speak to with authority: being a manufactured film star who was also gay and in the closet in the 50's / 60's (as the autobiography apparently details). That, and to learn how he re-invented his own iconography (and how!) by starring with Divine in a series of John Waters films. More than enough to pique the curiosity. I'd buy a ticket.

I don't know what Tab Hunter had to say, but being that the festival was held in the French Quarter and it is a literary festival, I'd have to say his personal life was interesting to many. I did not attend his event, as I was never impressed with him or his acting.
