Was just perusing the eBay site for RS merchandise - more for curiosity that anything else. I found this listing for three scripts: Lot of 3 titles from REMINGTON STEELE "Tempered Steele" "A Steele Clad Alibi" "An Offer You Couldn't Steele" Interesting titles, but two weren't used. Could it be scripts before a title change? For Steele Clad Alibi, there is a picture of the script with the date November 9, 1982, which wasn't even an air date!! There's also someone offering the complete 5th season (6 hours) on DVD. While the person says they are NOT official DVDs, there's no mention of which airing the episodes came from.

Steele Clad Alibi is a script that was officially submitted but never used -- I've read it, it's good, better than many that were used. There's one scene with bouncing on abed that I'd have loved to have seen. An Offer You Couldn't Steele is also an unfilmed script, but I can't remember if I've read it. They usually go for about $9.95 in script selling places online. As for official DVDs, there aren't any except what we just bought. Fox holds the worldwide publishing rights to the show. Ace

Thanks for the script info, Ace. I knew someone here would know the answer to my question. Yep, I know the only official DVDs are the ones of the first season. I was just mentioning this 5th season ones because it's on eBay. The asking price is $19.99. There are lots of new 1st season DVD sets for sale, too. I prefer to buy my sets from someplace where sales are being counted by TPTB who will be deciding on future DVD sets for the rest of the series. If you know what I mean.

I think An Offer You Couldn't Steele is the early version of Blood is Thicker Than Steele, in which Steele and Laura had to guard not two children but an entire Greek family. I'll check when I come home (I have the script) but I'm pretty sure that's it.

As for the DVDs, I'd like to buy both the unofficial ones and the official ones when Foz finally release all the seasons because I can't wait for another 20 years.... and I miss the episodes terribly.... p/s off the record, anyone knows where I might be able to the get those S2-S5 episodes?

S2 is coming out on DVD in November - read "RS on DVD" thread. With any luck, the others will follow. If you're really desperate, browse other threads, some time ago somebody posted something about a website that sold the entire series on DVD - if you desperately want a bootleg, here's your chance. Watch eBay, bootlegs pop up there once in a while as well.
I think I have somewhere a tape with Season 5 episodes that I made for somebody who didn't want it or something like that, I don't remember. PM me if you want it. The quality is poor, though.

Yipee can't wait for November.... Hopefully other seasons will follow soon. I saw a website that do sell the bootleg DVDs but most of the episodes they have are from S1 and very pricey for mostly S1 instead of the complete set. btw yuliya, how do I PM you? Do I have to register as a member? Thanks...

Thanks for the link, Yuliya. Even if the episodes aren't the best quality, at least the packaging looks nice. If only my finances could only keep up with my curiosity..........

If anyone is interested in purchasing the RS videos, they are suddenly popping up all over the place. Right now, the entire Columbia House set is up on eBay. Amazon has several videos, too. Just do a search for "Remington Steele". Also on eBay is a listing for the domain name of RemingtonSteele.info Go figure.
