WASHINGTON, DC -- 04/24/08 -- AmericanLife TV Network (SM) (www.americanlifetv.com), the cable network devoted to the Baby Boomer generation, debuts American Classic, "Remington Steele" on May 1, 2008 as part of the classic programming primetime line-up. The show will air twice daily Monday thru Friday at 10:00a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (EDT).
"Remington Steele" is an award winning detective television series first broadcast from 1982 to 1987. The series is an action, romantic comedy show that stars the handsome, enigmatic Irishman and 'future James Bond' Pierce Brosnan as a roguish thief, Remington Steele ("Before he was Bond, he was Remington Steele") and the beautiful and talented Stephanie Zimbalist as private detective Laura Holt. The show quickly took off and continues to be an American favorite. The Remington Steele series won the prestigious Edgar Allan Poe Award in 1983 and was nominated for an Emmy in 1985. Later, Pierce went on to star in the "James Bond 007" Movie series.
