I don't understand why people aren't even giving this guy a chance. He's gonna be a great Bond. And I agree with Kelly...TRUE bond fans should just be friggin happy they're getting more movies . And with an actor who is actually young enough to be believable as a sex symbol. Pierce is too old for this stuff. And that white goatee thing ain't cutting it.

I don't understand why someone would come to a Pierce Brosnan board and slag off PB. What's the point? Are you waiting for some consensus of agreement? You won't even find that consensus on a Bond board let alone here, but at least there you'd have more of a shot and the proper forum for it.

Curse you, Pierce Ephemera board, for looking like the right place to post this!
But in my unneeded defense, how come both boards say they're for posting pictures?

Curse you, Pierce Ephemera board, for looking like the right place to post this! But in my unneeded defense, how come both boards say they're for posting pictures? All the pics and media used to be under Ephemera but then the Ephemera started eating the entire board and so I had to create the Media section-- with the photos belonging to news in one place and stuff from mags and pure photos posts in another. Sorry that it can be confusing but I didn't know how else to deal with the overflow. Still, they often crossover, interviews can cross with mags and news, or news with TV &Film etc -- and sometimes I commit the sin of double posting. Off tangent -- looking at your sig and photo. The first season of NYPD Blue is I think the only one I watched the entirety of even though I watched some later for Jimmy Smits, just never regularly again. I now enjoy watching Caruso on CSI as Horatio, it seems to be the only CSI I've got into in any level. I tried getting into the NY CSI because I also really like Gary Sinise but it hasn't worked out. Maybe I only have psychological room for one CSI. Ace

I love Horatio, which is why I feel entitled to poke fun at David for his whole NYPD Blue escapades. I'm sure I've seen episodes of the show, but none with him on them. I actually finally caught up with Miami just moments ago. So I'm good with watching on Monday. Although I probably won't... watching without commercials can spoil a person. So I'll watch it sometime on Tuesday maybe... or maybe I'll let the episodes stack up a bit again so I can watch a mini-marathon. I have a couple of New York episodes but I haven't started on them. Las Vegas is my show, though. I love these guys to pieces. Miami doesn't come anywhere near the level of characterization and just general character interaction that LV does. Blah blah blah. I'm just babbling. Part of me still resents the fact that I'm a CSI junkie even after swearing I'd never watch it. Eh. You put some shipping on a show and I'll watch it, basically... >.> So anyway. You guys lucked up. I'm into hi-res pictures these days, and Jake happened to be on the cover of Premiere. I'm into Jake too. Jake's hot. And he's my age. Double points there. If a magazine doesn't mention Pierce on the front, I don't bother looking for him. Actually, if things aren't mentioned on the front I don't bother looking for anything. So... yeah. Lucked up. Jake's hot. The end! Okay I lied, I see now that Pierce is mentioned on the front. I clearly was blinded by the hotness that is Jake and totally didn't bother reading ANYTHING on the front of the magazine. I didn't have the slightest idea that Pierce was in it until I was in the car on the way home and went "Is that Pierce? Whoa! An article about Pierce! Wonders will never cease!" I'm still pissed off about the Daniel Craig hating going on, though. ::grumbles:: The end! Edit: Speaking of Miami, if you're caught up and know the craziness that happened at the end of last season, you may find this amusing. I found it amusing to make, at least.

I never got into the original CSI, it was just on at the wrong time, then seasons went by then that was it -- too late to get into. I catch an episode every once in awhile but that doesn't really allow for appreciating character development or relationships, it's mostly about the crime then and I can only take so much of explicit forensics on TV. CSI fans should count themselves lucky though because if I'd liked it from the start it would have been canceled as 90% of the shows I like are. I'm still surprised Lost is an actual hit since I watched the first episode. CSI Miami just fell on the right day and then I liked the actors and settings and it was still on the right day and I watched more of it but still not every week because as said I can only take so much crime and forensics on TV. ============> Bond stuff you can skip if you'd rather Sorry about you being bothered by the Craig stuff but right now probably any new Bond actor wouldn't be welcomed or appreciated on this board. There doesn't seem to a lot of love for the Bond producers and their choices here right now. Though it's not nearly as vitriolic as it currently is on many a Bond board, though there some of the vitriol is against PB as well as Craig and EON and a lot against fellow Bond fans. Everyone has Bond favorites and non favorites and the Bond boards are a war zone over it -- and that was before the Craig casting -- which gets tiring and why I don't post on them anymore. Unfortunately for Craig, in addition to the usual back and forth of will he or won't he be a good Bond, he's been tossed into a huge fan backlash (and the media hasn't been too keen either) against the producers over the two year casting debacle with Pierce and all the backbiting, secrecy, press leaks, delays, doubletalk, and the rumored contenders (some others wanted Hugh, Clive, Jude, Ewan etc and are angry/disappointed) As said I think Craig's a very good actor but I don't think he's the right actor for Bond physically as well as the kind of actor he is (he says he hated making Tomb Raider, did it for the money and couldn't stand being a superhero -- hates the publicity game - can't be posh -- etc - so why does he even want to make Bond films?). I also don't understand how he fits into the purported 28 yr old Bond concept which I hate. There are many fine actors, but not every actor fits every role, especially such a firmly entrenched iconic one. I adore Dennis Quaid and Al Pacino but I wouldn't want them as Bond. Ditto Sean Bean. When it comes down to it though personally I'm just plain disappointed I won't get to see PB's Bond in Casino Royale, a project he's pursued for years and was denied because it was too dark, gritty and low key for the producers, except now it's not anymore and the explanation for why is lacking to say the least. I'm disappointed as a Bond fan even more than as a PB fan about missing that version of the film. It's like imagining what OHMSS would have been like with Connery. So I wouldn't be thrilled with any other actor doing CR, even one I thought fit the role better than Craig because as much as I love Bond I'm not in the mood to give Wilson/Brocolli any of my money or support. And now I've babbled more about Bond and I didn't want to. I've pretty much reached my limit of Bond talk and I've probably bored you or upset you more. If I have, again, my apologies. ============> End of Bond stuff I actually have the Premiere magazine and photos recently up online in my Interview section though I didn't make the scans nearly that large or hi-res so thanks for sharing. ========= And while I was composing this I saw your edit. Your icon actually explains it better than the show which I saw and was confused as hell over! It was like having two years of soap opera in one episode. And it's almost 5am and I'm exhausted and need to make myself get some sleep.

Apparently I have no limit to the amount of crime and forensics I can take on TV. I've now seen 5 years worth of CSI, 3 years worth of Miami, I figure unless I hate it I'll probably watch 1 year worth of New York... and I already downloaded the first season of the JAG spin-off, NCIS. It would help if these shows would stop having people on them that I like. Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly... >.> Hot boys! So anyway. That whole Miami ending was insane. It didn't help that I was getting into the whole Horatio/Yelina relationship and then they totally screwed that over. Bleah. Stupid TV shows. Emily Procter is from Raleigh, though. ^^ Miami totally gets bonus points with me for casting a North Carolinian. As far as Daniel goes... Xen reeeeeally set me off the other night. As most people here I think know, I have a special place in my heart for the first Tomb Raider movie. So I've liked Daniel since June 15, 2001. And then I inadvertantly get into a Bond discussion with Xen and she seriously goes off on him. And then leaves before I can really get into the argument anyway. Let's just say I had a little too much frustrated energy left over. The incredibly stupid thing is that it makes me want to lash out, and the person that tends to take the brunt of it is Pierce. Or at least, all his fans. My away messages of late and my livejournal posts have been... a little rude towards Pierce fans as a whole. Eh. What I'd really like is to someone to go over to my board and pick a fight. And then I can call them stupid and get all this energy dealt with. I like calling people stupid, lol. I blame my friend James. Edit: Dude! David and I (I've decided to promote David to the other half of Team Kelly, he is my avatar afterall) are Adventures now! No more of this Nomad stuff!

Congrats on you and David becoming Adventurers. I really like Emily Proctor and her accent. I get a kick out of her non nonsense self wrapped up in that pretty Southern belle package. She comes off very formidable but charming. Mark Harmon -- I had a crush on him when he was St Elsewhere and even liked him when he showed up on Moonlighting when the other fans were booing and hissing him. Ace

I'm sorry. Bite me, paper boy! Again, I'm sorry. Emily Procter is even more fun on West Wing... I think she hypes up her accent a bit (Being from NC I don't think of us as having an accent, so I don't notice much on Miami, but it's a lot more noticable at times on WW) and she tends to get flustered and start rambling. Was I saying something useful? I forget. I was thinking I might go back and rescan some of the huge stacks of Pierce clippings I have, but in higher quality now that scanner technology has progressed, and now that I'm actually moderating a hires livejournal community... but it hasn't happened yet. And I'm famous for thinking of things that would take a lot of work... and then not doing them. >.> Oh! Mark. I looooooved him in Summer School. He's gotten a bit older since then. ; ; But he's still nice. I saw one of his Moonlighting episodes and yeah, can't hate him. He's too pretty. But I have only seen a few ML episodes overall, so I wasn't as much into the characters and things as everyone else when they saw him, I'm sure.

Keep making me look at photos of Craig and you should be sorry. Though that is one of his better ones. I actually didn't like her as much on West Wing when I was still watching, I thought they tried too hard to make her spunky and she didn't seem as natural. Is she still doing WW? I haven't watched in the last couple of seasons since Sorkin left. I have things I scanned once upon a time that I know would be much better now but the I have things I've never got around to scanning or even posting and then I start thinking of bandwidth and webspace and putting it all up and organizing it and then I don't do any of it. It's easier to do new things than organize and go through the back catalogue. Because of that and knowing ideas alays look easier before time sucking execution, I have't wanted to ask but what the heck -- are you still planning on doing those Steele caps or did it become too overwhelming? Way back when, I begrudged Moonlighting for stealing Steele's thunder, and never thought the lead characters were all that appealing as a couple as much as they were amusing. So I didn't mind at all when Harmon entered the picture and thought he was lovely and Maddie would be insane not to want him.

I didn't give up on the caps, things just happened and it fell into the background. Mostly I ran out of disk space. And it requires a fair amount (well, from my "oh no I only have 3 MB free!" point of view) of empty disk space to do, at least the way I do it. I would like to finish doing the caps, mostly because no matter what else happens, I still love the show and I love Pierce and Stephanie when they were on the show. But I get caught up in wanting people to like me and visit my site and things... and then it just gets all crazy and overwhelming and anxiety-causing. And I seriously don't need any extra anxiety in my life right now. Anyway, the short answer is, it's entirely possible I will do more of them. More likely than me scanning old pictures of Pierce. She was only on West Wing for the 2nd and 3rd seasons, and then I assume she left to do CSI. Which is funny to me because I assume Jorja Fox left after the first season to do CSI as well. However, I'm only a few episodes into the third season, thanks to the miracle of rentals and internet downloads, so in Kelly Time (copyright 2005 Kelly) she's still on the show. And I've only made you look at one picture of him, so . Sure, I could have made an icon of him, but I had these visions of my account being deleted, or my avatar being forcibly changed into something entirely different, lol. So just the one. I needed it for my Livejournal Hot Boy posts. I blame my mom. You can blame her too, if you like.

Ah, I remember those I have no hard disc space left days. Now I just shove everything on and there's still like 100gb. That reminds me I need to do a disc backup soon. I can understand wanting to do without the stress of keeping up a site and board. I actually enjoy it though sometimes it's an energy drain and as for feedback except for this board I rarely hear from anyone about my site unless a link is broken or it's down. Everyone I know is getting into TV shows on DVD. I've never done that. I don't rent DVDS (I'd never watch on time or return on time) so I'd have to buy and I can't see doing a blind buy of a TV show, or buying one I didn't love. There are even TV shows I always think about buying, that I know I already love and yet never do, except for RS. I already have so many films I've bought that I haven't had time to watch yet. I think I need to ask for them as gifts with X-Mas coming up and that way it's not me buying them.

www.bowserbabe.com/kelly/xmas.php'Tis out of date, though. Not that I've acquired anything on it, but there are things I probably want that aren't on there. And it's generally way less fancy than I tend to like to make things... anyway, the point is that I have tons of DVDs on my Christmas list. >.> Feedback sucks... yeah... but I make way more effort to tell other people I like their stuff now. At least, when it's easy enough to do... it takes something monumental these days before I'll send someone an e-mail. I hate sending/checking e-mail. I only ever check my e-mail so I can see if anyone's replied to any of my livejournal stuff. ...which I hardly ever post anyway. Blah blah blah. You can Netflix TV shows, I believe... so no worries about being on time. I don't have the patience for that, though. I blew through 4 seasons of CSI on DVD, and then downloaded and watched season 5... in about 3 weeks total. And if it's not out on DVD, I download it. Actually, I often download it even if it is out on DVD... but I prefer watching on DVD because I can watch the closed captions. Anyway. Downloading goes back to why I have no disk space. ...oh. I only have 45 GB of CSI on the computer. I thought it was higher than that. But I've got 67 GB of TV shows altogether. And a nice stack of about 40 DVD-Rs of TV shows as well. I am far too giddy about my current TV show collection. As far as buying a show without having seen it... I've bought seasons I haven't seen... seasons 2 and 3 of Alias were bought before I'd seen them... season 3 of ER was bought before I'd seen it... I think that's it. I've only ever bought one show that I hadn't seen at all before, and that was Firefly... it was cheap and I had a Best Buy gift certificate. >.> I loooooove Firefly though, so that all worked out. The only DVD purchases that afterwards I thought maybe weren't the best investments... I believe have all been Pierce or Kevin movies that I bought because they were in them. Oh no, I lied! I bought Benny Hill without having seen it as well. But I've seen the show before... or at least, one of his shows... And I bought Moonlighting without having seen most of the episodes in the season I bought... And Stargate...! And X-Files... and I hadn't ever seen Wiseguy when I bought that... Nevermind. I'm completely untrustworthy and you shouldn't believe anything I say.

I've been thinking of The Muppets, Soap, Quantum Leap, The Rockford Files, even though I can see the last two on TV re-runs it's not the same. That's the thing, I can't really complain about lack of feedback (especially when what I do get here is very nice) because I'm just as bad about giving feedback as most everyone else. I visit lots of sites and read fiction etc and don't leave much feedback. It's easier when there's a forum for it though because I don't feel that comfortable sending e-mails in the overwhelming majority of cases. I'd say it was an online phenomenon but my firend who's a novelist says it's very rare that an author who isn't some cultral juggernaut receives more than a handful of letters on a book or article. The problem with Netflix or any mail order DVD system is that my mailbox isn't large enough for it to be left here. So it means a long trek to the post office which I can only get to usually on a Saturday where I'd have to wait on line for an hour. Logistically and financially it makes no sense for me. I'd wind up renting things and keeping them out a month and the price for the service I might as well buy the thing. LOL! Ooh Wiseguy. I loved the first two couple of seasons of that show. Did you get all the seasons or just the Mel "The toes knows" Profit ones with Spacey? Ace

Just teh Spacey. As you said... I'm not willing to buy a show I haven't seen before, heh. I think a local Hollywood Video has the first half of the first season, but... I don't really have too much interest in it. I have other stuff sitting here that I am interested in that I haven't even started watching, so... yeah.
Quantum Leap would be nice on DVD, but it's got music changes in it. I don't know how noticable they are since I haven't seen the show in quite a while... I don't know how I'd notice that something wasn't there that was supposed to be unless it was pretty obvious. But my friend Nate was all offended over it. Nate and I often get offended over quality issues with stuff... but since they messed with the RS DVDs too, I won't go into that.
I give people feedback on livejournal if they post fanfic or artwork or something and I like it... but if I'm reading fanfic out on the internet or something, usually it's from so long ago that I feel silly writing to them about it. I'm sure they'd appreciate knowing I liked it, but... eh. It's hard.
I have seen websites where people just gush all over the owners and things. Which is probably what ruined me. It's hard for me to do things just for myself and not because I want other people to like me.
Edit: The downloading TV shows thing is nice. I guess it's not really possible for anyone on dial-up, although I have downloaded things that slowly before, but... it is so nice just being able to pull up any episode I want any time I want. And I can fast-forward through it way easier than I can on a DVD or VCR player.
It's addictive! Soon I'll have downloaded every TV show ever made! Except for the crappy ones! ::laughs maniacally::
