That's why they wanted Pierce to present: they know he can make the biggest non-sense sound appealing.

OK, I found a new website for downloads (lets see how well it works) that seems to allow direct downloads and file sizes up to 25mb. I uploaded Ellen, Letterman and The View to it and the new links are on my media page: mbe8.tripod.com/media.html

I've just found this ad Pierce made for Danone some years ago. Unfortunately I can't download it so I give you he link. It's in Spanish. gianni.ruggierofilms.es/lift.htmI'm sure there's at least another one he made for Danone because it was also on tv here in Italy but I can't found it.

Oh thankyou, londonstreet, for those Dannon yogurt videos. They got PB's Pacific-blue eyes lit just right.
Am I hearing-impared or do those girls pronounce his name "Peace"? If so, there seems to be a peculiar global aversion to the letter "r." Isolated parts of Europe, British Isles, New England... (Come to think of it, Peace is entirely appropriate for him, isn't it.)
Another thing, in all his "foreign" commercials - why oh why do they dub in somebody's else's voice? It sounds terrible, always so gruff and macho. Surely Pierce can learn to speak whatever short phases necessary for these ads. He's an actor and memorizing dialog is part of the job. Hell, Sophia Loren did all her first foreign films not understanding a word of English. Are they afraid of his accent? Ridiculous - his accent was a huge part of his appeal to Americans in the 80's. Are they afraid people will be thrown off because they've becom accustomed to hearing that same dubbed macho voice in the Bond movies? I know if I became enamored of a film star in obviously dubbed movies, I'd want to hear his own voice come out of his mouth. By not letting Pierce speak is to deprive all the females of the world from hearing his soothing, sultry, natural voice. All you girls "over there," you should protest!

Here's a new commercial about adopting pets that were left behind when Katrina struck. Pierce does the narration on the first one listed. www.1-800-save-a-pet.com/media/Ellen

IcyCalm you are right, in these spots Pierce's eyes are so blue..... About how to pronounce his name, well here in Italy they now pronounce like peace but wtih a strong "r" between ea and ce.....like Pearrce....but in many years I heard so many different way to pronounce it, really terrible. Yes they could make him speaking different languages but maybe it would be too expensive for the Dannon (a dubber costs less)because he would have to film it in Italian, Spanish, French, maybe in German and other languages spoken in Europe and then there's the fact that in some countries in Europe films are dubbed and in Italy for James Bond Pierce he has been dubbed by the same man for all his 4 films, so his voice could be more attractive than Pierce's voice for an advertisement. Even because here very few people knew his name before James Bond. So I think it's more a marketing problem than an accent problem. About his voice, yeah it's so terrible not hearing it......It's a luck now there are dvds ), so we can hear the film's dubbed version or the original one. But we really can't stay without dubbers because there still are a lot of people who can't speak English, and sometimes it's a shame because people judge a foreign actor without having ever heard him, just his dubbers.

Yes, deprivation is truly what I feel, and I don't know what I'd do without DVDs. What's worst, for the German Rocher spots they actually had him mouth the German words, but he was still dubbed! That's just nonsensical considering he did very well on his two German sentences in TND. His accent when he speaks German is just adorable.

I love the Danone yoghurt clips! I just wish next time I shop for yoghurt he'd be there to snag the last tub from under my nose. I was able to save them because they save to IE's cache. You can just copy&paste them into your files. Did anyone watch the making-of clip? There's lots of most adorable Pierce in blue shirt & jeans.

The 1997 Oprah PB interview (originally from Yvo). It's 34 mb (I had to shrink it from Yvo's orignal 70mb or I wouldn't be able to re-upload it. As it is it's large enough I'm only doing this once) www.sendspace.com/file/iel480

Oh god, so young and the HAIR. That might be the worst haircut I've ever seen on him, though it's still not as bad as her hair. Thank you!
