I wouldn't have thought I would like him in a moustache, but that first one isn't bad.

Pierce-- sporting a moustache for his role as Douglas Fairbank's Jr. in Richard Attenborough's film about Charlie ChaplinYes, another role lost. (this one to "turn-around" and timetables though) Pity. He'd have made a great swashbuckling Douglas Fairbank's Sr. (not Jr., Hello as usual has the facts wrong). And the moustache works very well. Now that you mention it, it is rather nice. Funny, that wasn't what drew my eye the first time. cg

Wait, there's a room? Oh yeah... now that you mention it... I guess I was too busy looking at er um ... the pool table. Really a shame the house was taken in a mud slide. Ace

Yes a few years ago in the late 90's. I believe Keely and Dylan had to be airlifted out by helicopter at the time after being trapped inside during days of rain.
From The Times: Culture section (scans of which Yuliya had up on her site, and might still) Nov 2002
But Brosnan has prospered by not indulging in self pity or regret. He tells me how he watched his multi-million dollar house slide down a Malibu mountainside in a torrential rainstorm 4 years ago. "It was the happiest thing that ever happenned, that house falling down. I thought I'd be terribly depressed but I wasn't. Free at last! It made a decision for me." Perhaps most other people wouldn't have waited for an act of God to make that decision, but most other people would not have been able to find so much joy in an event so calmitous. Now that is an interesting man, even if he may sometimes doubt it himself."

I have to admit there are days when I wouldn't mind if a mudslide took my house. The mud that gets tracked in constantly is hardly enough to do that, though. cg

If Pierce ever does release his album...do you think we might get to him play guitar too? I'd like that.
I know he "played" piano in Grey Owl, but can he really play that instrument too?
And for my final question..is that his old chair from RS in the background in the picture of him playing guitar?

Ooh good catch on the set chair in the background. It does look similar to that one of him and Cassie sitting in the "Pierce Brosnan " and "The Wife" chairs, from that RS set photo. But then all those chairs look alike! I have no idea if PB plays piano and he said on one interview he tried playing Sean's guitar but quit because he wasn't good enough at it, so I presume that's Sean's. But he does play the flute! Which is perfect because then he can't sing along. Ace

(Xen contemplates a flute joke, but skips it, because it blows.) I will say though that I thought his instrument was the clarinet, not the flute. But I would love to hear him play. I know they managed to save some furniture from the house, but I gotta wonder, how the HELL do you decide what to save at a moment like that. -- Xen

Actually I'm just being catty. ;D He's not that bad in fact it's quite credible pub singing and I don't even skip his tracks when I listen to the Evelyn soundtrack, his voice "fits".

I assume you take personal possesions first and since Keely was stuck there for a couple of days as it rained she had plenty of tiem to pack. The furniture slavation I presume came after they picked through the after affects of the landslide because I can't see Keely hauling couches out to be lifted by helicopter. I believe it is the flute and the clarinet. Not too hard to play one if you play the other. And well he has the hands for both. Ace

I believe it is the flute and the clarinet. Not too hard to play one if you play the other. Ace Not really. The clarinet is a woodwind, with a reed (which I played in the 7th and 8th grade), but I think the flute is just considered a "wind" instrument. I know there is no reed, and both the mouth and finger positions are quite different. Wish I had taken flute instead; I might have stayed with it. ::refrains from comments about hand and finger positions and hopes other will too:: cg

CG, too late, Xenobia's already crossed that line Yes the clarinet is different and has separate challenges but I find that if you've semi-mastered one you can the other because you have the kind of finger coordination etc for it and people often can play several wind and woodwind instruments. At least my Aunt did. Ace
