I didn't know about keyboards and what they do to your letters. I will keep a watchful eye on mine from now on. I believe, however, that this "about" in my post wasn't there to begin with because it was too late for me to think about prepositions at that time. ;D I'm glad that you all understood. As a non-native speaker I always try to make sure that everything gets across the language barrier. And I'm probably a bit obsessed about getting my English right because that's what I try to do all (school)day long.

Yes, but in the meantime, there is obviously a conspiracy to divert attention from my possibly autographed copy of Random Harvest.

He has last been seen in Ireland, but he might pop in at your house on his way back and try to get your book. At least then you'll know that it's valuable. ;D

Tangent time - I have a first edition book with the author's name written (in ink) in the front. Anybody know how I find out if it's actually an autographed copy? Picked it up in a second-hand store several years ago. It pre-dates mechanized signatures. cg A rare book dealer should be able to tell you if it's authentic or not. If he can't, he should know someone who can. Rare book dealers either have to be able to tell if a signature is real or not, or know someone who can. If they didn't, they would be bilked all the time. migs ???gggrrr, it logged me out again, but at this time it posted this in this process. I think that's an improvement.

If I hadn't read that English isn't your native language in other posts, I would have never known it wasn't. I work at a university in the U.S. and your English is better than many of the students there! Sad, but true. migs

Yes, Sparkling Blue's comprehension and use of English is stellar, imho, and most of the time she even understands my silly joking around and wordplay. (I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not ). cg

I hate to point it out but I'm good. Everybody else is simply repeating my personal text. (I checked; that's exactly how this thing is called in the profile. Yep. Personal text.) Back to the topic, though. If anyone should receive th eautographed picture, would you kindly tell us all about it? It may prompt me find some time to buy a photo mailer.

Having in my possession a tape of Tempered Steele, at the end of which he says that line, qualifies me to use it just this once, especially since I virtually took it back in the same post.

Hmmm, it seems to want more than one vote from me and I don't know all other sites... Maybe they're implying it's wrong to vote until I get more acquainted with other junk - er, sites...

It probably wanted at least one vote on every page. How come your site isn't there? Did you know about submissions or were they done quietly to make sure nobody knew?

I have no idea on the voting process. But looking at the list all the sites nominated seem to be pretty high end and extremely popular from what I can see. Though the Sean Bean site nominated isn't the one I'd have chosen, there's another that's been around a lot longer and is extensive to say the least.
