The postcards, while not "new" images, are kind of neat. Yet I forgive them for not sending me any. londonstreet, did you leave your current e-mail address in your profile at the site? There haven't been any e-mails lately (at least not that I got any), so depending on when you registered, there just weren't any since.

Yes I can understand they don't send postcards here too, even because not all the latest movies have come here.
I'm sure I gave the site the right email address and I registered more or less two years ago. I thought about it and I think I remind having received at least one email but a lot of time ago, none this year. I must check my spam program.
Thanks everyone.

Obviously just getting to this now...excuse me, I think I'm going to go need to rent a walker so I can get back to my rocking chair and knitting. 25 years?!

It's even worse when you actually think the phrase "quarter of a century".

Actually, not to me. 25 years is a long time. Long, but humanly comprehendable. Quarter of a century is such a huuuuge chunk of time my feeble mind can't grasp it; it's not human years, it's just a chunk. I don't know if I'm making sense, but that's OK - I've been officially declared old. :: getting back to her knitting, which I enjoy! ::

I could ruin the enjoyment for you... But I won't. I'll just enjoy my wisdom quietly. ;D

You couldn't ruin anything for me. I'm feeling too peachy at the moment. So feel free to share your wisdom. (I realise I probably said something stupid, but that wouldn't be the first time. )

Oh come on! You didn't say anything wrong, don't worry. The only stupid things would be taking this conversation seriously and being envious over somebody else's youth.
Why are you feeling peachy? What happened? Anything we can do to help?

Well, I sure hope I didn't make anyone envious then. And even if I did, I couldn't help it now could I? Unlike Mr. Steele I cannot age on demand. Oh, I just finally found a new job, that's all. I gave up my old one because I had a boss from hell and commuting was too long to have a life alongside work. Then it took me longer than expected to find something new. But now I have. I haven't started there yet, but if there is anything you could help me with, I'll be sure to let you know.

Congratulations! Don't worry, it'll be fine! It's perfectly natural to be nervious after having a bad experience. I've just had a boss like that and a job like that; I know. Don't forget to let us know if you need moral support. :: hugs ::

I wish you better luck with the next one too. Btw, I didn't realise "peachy" is not understood to mean a positive feeling. Because I did mean that I feel quite good at the moment. I've felt a lot worse about a year ago, but that's all over now. So maybe I wasn't expressing myself clearly. Anyway, thanks a million for your kind support.

Peachy does indeed mean something positive as in fine/cool/great.
Great news and congratulations on the new better job!

My mistake. Thank you for correcting me. I've always heard "peachy" used in a cheerfully sounding negative manner, the way "fine" can be used sometimes when the person realy means "don't ask."

You sure remembered it like Laura said it in Thou Shalt Not Steele, when she promptly afterwards asks Steele for an aspirin.

Yes, but I heard it being used in real life in exactly the same manner, and I find it hard to believe that person was a fan of RS.

The word peachy can and often is used in a sarcastic manner to mean the opposite but so can the words great, fine, wonderful etc. The words themselves are still positive though and are often used that way as well. At least we managed to sneak a reference to RS back into this thread.
