I found two of Stephanie’s works have been released for a while now on DVD: The Triangle Factory Scandal and an episode of Chicken Soup for the Soul. Does she play an important role in these works? I was also wondering about her earlier works (mostly the tv movies) and if they were ever released on VHS: such as Yesterday’s Child or Celebration Family?

It's been a long time since I saw Triangle factory and can't recall the size of SZ's part and have never seen that Chicken Soup for The Soul episode. Many of her earlier TV work is available on VHS and not DVD. Most are out of print and ergo extortionately high. But there are others you can get for a couple of bucks used on Amazon or Ebay like Caroline and The Story Lady. Amazon is good at most of the stuff that's out on VHS and DVD even if it's OOP or unavailable for purchase. Tomorrow Child's on VHS used. The Man in A Brown Suit is on DVD but only as part of a large expensive Christie collection. The Awakening (also as a download), Forever (very expensive), Love On The Run are among some of her earlier stuff on VHS.

Neither Celebration Family or Yesterday's Child are available for retail sale. However, I do happen to have both and can make you a copy if you wish to have them. I also have just about everything else sitting over here as well, including everything Ace mentions in her post above. Let me know if you'd like to have any and I'll see what I can do about running them for you.

Thankyou very much for your offer, Judith. I would love to see most of Stephanie’s films--unfortunately becoming her fan when most of her works are not shown on tv. Can I contact you through e-mail over purchasing copies of her works?

Sure, just send me a list and we'll take it from there. I'll be in Los Angeles with Steph for part of next week but will be back on the 17th.

Off hand, I don't remember what SZ's Chicken Soup for the Soul episode was about but I'm pretty sure she had a major part.

Two of Stephanie's films are now being offered on DVD on Amazon.com: "Voices from Within" and "Semi-Precious". Another one is titled "Breaking the Silence" but I'm not sure if it's the same movie featuring Stephanie. However, "The Killing Mind" is listed as being released in 2006 and yet it's unavailable.

I have Caroline and The Story Lady on VHS and wish they would come out on DVD. I contacted Hallmark quite some time ago to ask about it, and got a bizarre form letter that didn't answer my question.

I never thought I'd able to contribute anything to this thread, but as it happens, I saw a Stephanie Zimbalist movie last night! (We don't get many of them here in Germany.) It wasn't exactly a leading role for her, but in my humble opinion, any movie in which you play Jimmy Stewart's granddaughter must be fun to be in. Anyway, it was called The Magic of Lassie (yes, I know--I take the corn with my movies if I like the actors ) and SZ had a small part in it. She was a little younger than in RS (naturally, as the movie is from 1978), and if I may say so, she got far more comfortable and confident as an actress by the time she did RS, but nevertheless it was kind of nice seeing her. Her lovely hair was even longer than in S1 of RS; it came all the way down her back. I was so jealous of that! LOL The movie was kind of cute in places, a typical family movie. Not a great work of art for sure, but if you like collies and/or any of the actors in it, you're in for a treat. If anyone is interested in some screencaps, I'd be happy to post some.

Were Elvis and the Beauty Queen, In the Matter of Karen Ann Quinlan, The Golden Moment, or A Letter To Three Wives ever released on VHS/DVD? Was Stephanie’s role in Borderline Normal a major one?

Are there any plans for the releases of Personals, Jericho Fever, or Dead Ahead on DVD by Paramount?

Not that Stephanie or I are aware of. If and when they do go out there will be an announcement on her site.

Only in the Canadian market and it's rather difficult to come by.
