While looking for Noble House, which my local library doesn't seem to have, I found out that they now own NINE two-episode videos of Remington Steele! Yes, I put them all on reserve, as they have got to be better than my copies (basically A&E and Paxed versions), with perhaps the exception of one "real" tape I own. Wowsa. Will definitely have to have an RS marathon night. (Too bad CG jr. has braces and can't eat popcorn!) cg

Forged Steele/Sensitive Steele
High flying Steele/Steele Threads
In the Steele of the Night/To Stop a Steele
License to Steele/Thou Shalt Not Steele
Maltese Steele/Puzzled Steele
Second Base Steele/Cast in Steele
Steele Framed/Elegy in Steele
Steele in the Family/Steele in the Chips
Steele Searching
Sadly, no Vintage or RHS, but I am looking forward to an un-Paxed Sensitive Steele.
Believe it or not, getting those all in there was a lot harder than it looked. The "cut and paste" kept wanting to pick up all kinds of other library information.
Could one of you kind souls please put those in the proper watching order for me? My head is so stuffy I don't think I could match them up with an episode guide if they were both in front of me - and they're not.
A million thanks.

Thanks, Ace, you're wonderful! When you're in the area I'll be happy to treat you to a banana split....or a batch of the best homemade chocolate chip cookies you've ever had. btw, I did know the first one - even I and not a total loss. cg As a matter of fact, when they all come in, you're all invited over for an RS marathon.

How weird is this? I was checking my library account to see if any of the RS videos are in (no, but five are on their way!), and after the "item" column is listed "author." Yes, even for videos. So guess who the "author" is?
Nope, not him, guess again.
Nope, not her either.
Doris Roberts. How bizarre is that, particularly since she's listed as "author" even on the first season episodes? Strange stuff. (Maybe it's to throw off the spies!)
Oh, and speaking of first season episodes - did anyone see Monk last night? Did it seem a little reminiscent of a certain RS ep? ;D

Please, if Doris was the author she'd have written Steele to wind up with Mildred. I missed Monk, but then I always miss Monk when it shows on USA... so what RS episode did they rip-off er... homage? Ace

Ace, please, DR got the part by persuading they could use an older woman. Actually, it's normal that videotapes are listed by author - it makes it easier to search for movies of a certain actor or a director. I think Amazon does it, too. As for DR - errare humanus est. Unfortunately, libraries do those entries manually, and I'm not of too high opinion of most librarians. Most, not all. I've seen pretty smart, educated librarians. But I've also seen ones who can come up with more ways to spell "tailor" than there is letters in this word. Anyway, I'd rather have RS under "Doris Roberts" than not have it under "Pierce Brosnan." Maybe I should double-check our local libaray...

Oh, CG, how wonderful for you. Now if you can only dub them. I'm so upset that I can't see Monk. I saw him on ABC a couple months ago, but no more. They've been airing three-hour movies in Monk's spot. grrrrrrrr I'll have to check their website again and then send them another e-mail. Sheeessshhhhh. ABC is really on my **** list lately. Um, what's this crack about Librarians? I'll have you guys know that I used make my living as a Librarian, and I was in the cataloging department. Yep, that's right, cataloging. I was one of those Librarians who used to categorize everything that we had. Of course, at that time, there wasn't any videos, but we did have films. Except that my job was music and recordings, such as records, cassette tapes and books on tape. And if anyone of youse guys makes any cracks about my antiquity, well, I just won't tell you when I invite Pierce to bunk at my house while he is in town filming his extra-strange movie. So there.

Come one, come all - I"ve barely had time to watch any of these, and they are due back at the library in two days!! Can't renew, someone else wants them. I think I have ten episodes to fit into two days.

Myrtle, I just had bad luck with reference librarians. I often ended up spelling titles for them or even using their computer instead of them. I did say I knew some pretty smart ones, too, just not at our library, although our circulations librarians are usually very competent as well.
