Hello all. I'm off to spend Thanksgiving with my spouse's sisters and his cousins whom he reckons by the dozens, et. al. His side of the family are all fresh air aficionados and campsy and woodsy types, so wish me godspeed. The outdoors, to me, is where the car is. I come from a long line of musicians, LOL!
I hope all of you have the best and most enjoyable of Thanksgiving holidays and will see you by Saturday barring some freak accident involving a tent peg.

Happy Thanksgiving! Lauryn, you have one more reason to be thankful this year - that you don't live up North. We're supposed to get our first snow tonight.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Yuliya, if she lived up North she probably wouldn't have to go camping though!

Happy Thanksgiving, one and all, even to those of you who don't celebrate it. Leave me out of the camping! We got our first inch of snow today and I don't think I'll even go to the mall. I hate being cold. The idea of being out in a state park or the woods is okay -- if it's warm enough and I don't have to sleep there. ;D cg

Already? Oh well, one reason I'm hesitant to go to Germany in the winter is total abcense of winter boots... Yuliya, if she lived up North she probably wouldn't have to go camping though! If I had time, I'd scan you a few pictures of my husband's winter ski trip to the North Ural (that was before we met.) -63 degrees Fahrenheit is very, very cold, though he said it was only one night; the rest of the time it was only about -40 - -30.

I am concerned...we haven't heard from Lauryn. Maybe the family got together and decided to hunt the turkey before cooking it. One thing leads to another and... "Yes ma'am, we know he is a turkey, but it is not OK to shoot the president of the United States." Sorry...had to go there. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. For those who care to see the dioramas I put up, and what fun my Pierce doll was having....check out: members5.boardhost.com/pinkparlor/msg/1133079512.htmlLove...B

"Yes ma'am, we know he is a turkey, but it is not OK to shoot the president of the United States." Sorry...had to go there. It's a tempting thought but I don't think any of my relatives would have to lift a finger. Between bike mishaps and being outsmarted by junk food (pretzels) the Prez does seem a bit accident prone, the type who, while in hunter's camo would be likely to shoot off a big toe or fall with a splat out of a deer stand. I hope his hunting license is up-to-date <wink>. Over on the Mysterynet boards we have a saying that "all roads lead" to Remington Steele, even when one goes off the beaten path. While engaged in a campside game of "Trivial Pursuit" this Thanksgiving, by pure chance I had to read off the question, "What ex-conman worked alongside detective Laura Holt?" The closest anyone on the opposing team could manage was, "I can't remember. I think his name was Pierce." I, of course, avowed no special knowledge of this area, my husband's rather unsubtle display of eyerolling to the contrary. When told the answer was "Remington Steele" my cousin said, "Right, yeah, it's all coming back to me now!" I grabbed the dice and rolled like fury hoping to move on to the next question before she had an LSD-like flashback to the unfortunate fifth season.

"To posing, then," as Mr. Steele would say, proposing a toast. At least your Pierce doll has his fly zipped. Though I can't speak for what might happen in part five...
For Christmas, does he come wrapped in a towel?

I'm surprised your husband's eyes didn't roll out of his sockets at such perfidiousness. Ace

When I have tried to feign no-knowledge when it comes to Pierce, the folks in the room who know me all start to either:
A) Laugh B) Choke C) If they are my brother, say "You are full of s*** Barbara."
And no, Pierce does not come wrapped in a towel for Christmas. I have to put him away at Christmas, after last year's unfortunate contest with the Christmas tree to see who had the....never mind.

You folks make me laugh my head off. ;D ;D ;D
That kind of scenario seems familiar. LOL I always give myself away with a big silly grin anyway.
Oh, that's too bad. For Pierce and for you. ;D
