Upton Park might have staged its final West Ham match but the drama keeps on coming at the iconic venue with news a Hollywood star will be checking in for filming.
Pierce Brosnan, a former James Bond and Golden Globe nominee, will roll into town next month to begin shooting scenes for an upcoming action-thriller about an ex-solider caught up in a terrorist siege.
Though its title may conjure up images of Ray Stubbs and a videprinter, Final Score will share little in common with its Saturday afternoon namesake.
The movie's synopsis promises a bruising tale about a former member of the armed foces who 'must use all his military skills to save the 35,000-capacity crowd, one of which is the daughter of his former comrade'.
Whether or not Brosnan can achieve his objectives while sticking to the 'West Ham way' remains to be seen.
The Irishman features alongside Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista - a four-time WWE wrestling champion who also appeared in the most recent Bond outing, Spectre, as henchman Mr Hinx.
While the leading duo try to develop a Cottee-McAvennie chemistry, Final Score's producers - The Fyzz Facility - have claimed their film will be full of 'scale, white knuckle tension, humour and heart'.
Any Hammers fans with even a vague memory of Tomas Repka will have seen it all before.
West Ham said farewell to their former home with a lavish party at the end of last season and will move into the Olympic Stadium for 2016-17.
Once filming has been completed for Final Score, the ground will be handed over to property developers.
