During the opening of the first season when Miss Holt narrates the synopsis in first-person, there is a very beautiful, smooth and jazzy musical tune that plays in the background, which I assume is the original theme to the television series, and briefly heard but shortened during the end credits sequence. I have been searching for this piece all over the internet but couldn't find a single source that would lead me to it. I'm not a fan of the three-minute long theme tune that replaced the brassy one preceding it, and my consistent attempts to find it so far have been failures. Someone on YouTube appears to have recreated it, but it doesn't sound original, despite the hardwork which I appreciate. And I've been told the show never released a soundtrack album, leading me to believe the musical piece I am after does not exist. But, for one more confirmation, I thought I'd drop by and ask, does anyone know what's the status of the material? Does it exist? And if it does, where can I turn to?

Also, if you have the DVDs, the menu screen plays that theme as the background music on the Season 4/5 set. It's only about 20 seconds of music, tho.

You've been most helpful, eaz. Thank you very much. Not entirely the jazzy version as appeared in the opening/closing credits, but that's definitely a trophy. Thanks, again.
