Just testing out the new board with a post to see if some of my settings affect the way a post is made. Ace, you might want to set up a new topic in the Admin area for testing out the board with posts about nothing in particular. Done. Though it took me a bit of time to find where the option to "move" moved to and figure out I had to click the lone smiley face in order to get all the others as options. 
I'm not enamoured of the overly bubbly look of the new forum and have to check if there's an option to show the white background of preview and not the dark blue of BB code when posting - by default. Edit: Found it. Much easier to post now.

Ace, if you go into your profile area, and click "edit profile" on the right side of the box, across from your avatar, click on the "settings" tab. Then scroll down to "posting default" and click the button for "preview" and then make sure to save your settings at the bottom of the screen. This should bring up the white preview box when you reply to a post. You can toggle between preview and BB Code at the bottom of that box if you need to, but changing it in your settings will make it default to "preview" mode all the time.

FYI - The "Back to Top" function is now in the widget/cog dropdown box on each individual post (far right side of the post)

Ace, thanx for putting the "recent threads" button up on the top!! You're the best!! This new blue color is pretty cool, too! At least you can see the different topics separated by lines now on the main topic pages.

Thanks. I find blue soothing and that alternating shades makes it easier to read posts. If anyone has a difficult time reading white text on blue or dark background, I could make a black/dark blue on white option. Let me know. Edit: OK, I added a "White" theme. You can go to your Profile & edit the settings from there Now, I wish I could figure out if it's possible to Bold Headers on the front page so they pop more.  |

I love that you can now be notified by email when someone posts to a thread that you've already posted to!! You can find this option in your Profile section... Click the "edit profile" button on the right side Click the "notifications" tab at the top Make the choices you want by checking the appropriate boxes Remember to click "save" at the bottom |

I just tried out the "white" theme and I like that you have your purple background back on that one. I think I may stick with blue because of the soothing nature of it  And it's always best to enjoy PB in a soothing setting -  |

Maybe I should pipe some music in for further relaxation - or maybe just PB's dulcet tones.  Bug: preview setting was working for me but now it keeps defaulting to BB (even though Preview is the default) and won't even do preview when I click it. Grrr. The only time it's working is on Quick Reply. |

I thought I'd bump this thread back up for those new to the board...
In here you can practice your quoting/responding to posts, editing your posts, posting pictures or videos, changing fonts and colors, or anything else you want to try.
It's basically a place to experiment with your posts. Have fun!!
