One diner said: “Nigella and Pierce seemed very happy to see one another and were engrossed in conversation after sitting down together for a chat. "It was clear they both enjoyed the opportunity to share some time together.” Both Nigella, 53, and 60-year-old Brosnan have suffered heartache in recent weeks. Saatchi, 70, filed for divorce after she walked out over the pictures which seemed to show him trying to choke her at a London restaurant. And the Bond actor’s daughter Charlotte died on June 28 from ovarian cancer at the age of 41. But both appeared to have a spark of happiness as they chatted warmly at Italian restaurant Bocca di Lupo in Central London on Thursday, according to the witness. The diner added: “It was nice to see both of them being able to laugh and smile in public again. "They are clearly great friends trying to get on with their lives.”  Saatchi was cautioned for assault over the choking incident. He and Nigella – worth £150million – have agreed to a “swift and amicable” end to their 10-year marriage. Neither will contest the divorce, which will become decree nisi on July 31. Nigella had spent much of the time since the split staying with her sister Horatia at her home in Mayfair. She has rarely stepped out in public. She is believed to have been friends with Brosnan for many years and the pair regularly meet at showbusiness and charity functions. His first wife Cassandra Harris, Charlotte’s mum, also died of ovarian cancer in 1991, aged 43. Brosnan is now happily remarried to reporter Keely Shaye Smith.
