;D ;D It's a perectly fitting name for a newly minted just in from the wilderness poster. And it's better than Radio Operator. Ace

Yes but... but.... time obsessed adventurer for non profit was too long to fit on one line! That's the whole new difference. Now that I know what you meant, it sounds a lot better. Maybe I'll think of a custom-made item for the next 50 posts, although I can't made such an icon now and, if we continue at such a rate, in a week it might be late. It's not that an adventurer has negative connotation, it's just that is sounds too old-fashioned for Mr. Steele, in my mind it belongs to the era of Capitain Blood and such. Maybe to Fogg's time, too, only Phileas Fogg had a lot in common with a hobbitt from a good family - nothing was ever supposed to happen to him, he just wouldn't stand for it. The trip around the world wasn't supposed to be an adventure, either, just something a gentleman must undergo to defend his point of view.

Well maybe I should just make the ranks a litlte harder so you can be an adventurer longer. And Bilbo like Phileas, whether he liked it or not became an adventurer, and very good ones at that. And I'll make you a Phileas icon... members.fortunecity.com/mbe/t-pb01.jpgAce

Yes, but Bilbo had some ansestor he could blame everything on, didn't he? Thank you for the icon, it's an excellent idea to have avatar match the rank - until I start missing my old one, so don't anyone take it! It'll match my rank some day, too!

Yuliya why is your Phileas icon so small? The parameters should be 90 x 90 automatically, no?

"Steele Shrinking" - better call is Miss Holt to investigate. Wait, wait - I didn't mean it like that!! All of you just get your minds out of the gutter, at once! cg

Interesting. I didn't set custom avatar size and thought the board would figure it out. And then I got upset when I saw how small my avatar was but decided you couldn't make it bigger, so I didn't say anything, gift horse and all; I just thought I'd make a bigger one when I have a bigger picture. But now I looked at my profile and found out the size was defaulted to 65x65, so I manually set it to 90. I like it better this way, thanks!

Yo, Ace! I've got 100+ posts; why only two stars still? cg

Sorry, it's because there's a typo in my first post and 3 stars=125 not 100. (just fixed it) The later post with the nicknames has the correct numbers. But at your rate you'll get there soon. Don't you like being an "Adventurer"? Ace

Hmmmm....it's okay. I was just all excited about getting a third star. And a jewel thief - if that's still what it is - sounds quite adventurous itself! Of course, I like to picture myself up on that roof with Cary Grant, or helping him-with-no-name pick up the Royal Lavulite. cg

Would you really want to be up on that roof with Cary Grant? If I recall the girl who was up there with him wound up dangling off the roof as he made her confess to the police. Ace

Yes but cats really prefer to work alone. You'd be stuck wearing the unmoveable gold dress down on the ground like Grace Kelly. Ace

And this would be a bad thing, to have the Grace Kelly role? ::remembers scence with fireworks in the background:: cg

if one can look like Grace Kelly most definitely not. But frankly if I was John Robie I'd have gone for the mother, she was sooo much more fun! Francie was more than a bit of a nosy stuck up pill. Ace

Well, when you put it that way.... Although I have to admit, I was hoping the ice blonde looks would come with it. Not that there's anything wrong with being a freckled brunette. I sure couldn't stay up and dance all night, though, especially in that dress. cg
