paroleacolori.com/al-cinema-il-fidanzato-di-mia-sorella/(Translated courtesy of Google translate) At the movies: The boyfriend of my sister Summer, by definition, time of love and lightness. If you consider this mood to the movies, out tomorrow, July 23, the new romantic comedy with Pierce Brosnan , the former 007, to assume the role of protagonist. Brosnan Richard Haig, a brilliant professor of Cambridge who loves passionately romantic poetry and beautiful women. Her life is about to change, however: Kate ( Jessica Alba ), an American student who attended his course and with whom he had an affair, is expecting a baby. Sin, before receiving the news, Richard came across by chance in Olivia ( Salma Hayek ), an exuberant and eccentric writer struggling with a series of disasters sentimental, and he lost his heart to her. Things get complicated when the man discovers that Olivia, the only woman who could stand up to him and make him re-evaluate his life as Don Giovanni, is none other than the sister of the student who will soon become the mother of his child. It is the beginning for him a comic nightmare unpredictable outcomes. A sparkling romantic comedy , but according to one of the female leads, the charming Salma Hayek, is worth seeing especially because it departs from the canon of the genre. In a recent interview, the actress has stated: "I have the impression that romantic comedies you're a bit 'homogenized, all look the same. The boyfriend of my sister is a different movie. This is what I like most: is unique. " Good vision!

Excerpt fom Italian Review (translated by Google translate) ... www.lastampa.it/2015/07/23/spettacoli/i-film-del-weekend/pierce-brosnan-vertice-maschile-di-un-triangolo-a-tutta-commedia-xISrHBrzuyJm6wrpqtXfPN/pagina.htmlLong television experience, the Scottish director Tom Vaughn is an honest professional and operates with a fluid hand each inzeppata of pretexts and implications not too credible. But the starting point is fun; and we are in the summer season that cinematically inclined to choose the genre refreshing, better if slightly old-fashioned, preferably undemanding and never mind if in essence dimwitted. The important thing is that light it is a star for sure, albeit mature charm, as Brosnan which also form a contrasting pair guessed - he perfectly british, she deeply Latin - with the impetuous, passionate Salma Hayek. The Alba has a less well-defined, but it embodies with grace; the child Duncan Joiner inspires tenderness and Malcolm McDowell gives a nice personality surly human side to the character of the father of Richard.

duels.it/persone/pierce-brosnan-e-la-commedia-sofisticata/ (translated by Google translate) HomePeopleInterviews Pierce Brosnan and the sophisticated comedy Veronica Garbagna July 23, 2015 Pale attempt to revitalize the sophisticated comedy Hollywood, with a nod to the screwball, my sister's boyfriend (translation unimaginative for a title as tasty How to Make Love With an Englishman ) sees Pierce Brosnan play (directed Tom Vaughan, Extraordinary Measures ) Richard, prof. of romantic poetry who teaches at Trinity College, Cambridge. As well as to move with Keats is an ace nell'infilarsi beds of their students. The passion for the girls to him from his father Richard (a Malcom MacDowell seems that happened in the film by chance). The sisters of the title are Jessica Alba and Salma Hayek. The first is the student who gets pregnant and Richard eventually follow in Malibu. Then there is the other, the writer, who lived playboy nails to a capitulation sentimental. For Brosnan's character, "he is a professor of Cambridge with a kind of Peter Pan syndrome, one that does not want to become an adult. Spends his life in the arms of women young and beautiful and it does, say, for heritage / Mission family: his father was well and he to the father feels awe. When he is cornered between two sisters she is forced to grow. " To my sister's boyfriend , Pierce Brosnan is also a producer: "Yes, and it took years to turn this story into film. The idea I liked immediately: a prof womanizer who moves to Los Angeles for love, doing what he had never managed, ie he leaves his father and safeties academic. You can be born into a the-boyfriend-of-my-sister-436492dynasty in womanizing and decide to say enough? Watch the film to find out. Because then there's the idea of this man who teaches romantic poetry that ends up believing truly a romantic poet ... Eventually mixing the comic and the dramatic realizes he is losing the taste of living seriously his own life. " On two colleagues Brosnan is generous: "Jessica has fought to have the part, wanted a sophisticated comedy and made it even more beautiful character. Watch the film and remains seduced by this young man who falls for a rogue professor, one who could be her father. The fact is that she knows what she wants from life and at some point he understands that he can not give it to him. Salma had already shot After the Sun : she says that on the set I can laugh so hard that must continually be interrupted! For my part I love watching her reads: she really lights up the scene. And this time I was not able to say the jokes: the first scene, when we meet at the Savoy Hotel in London, I could not concentrate so I was seduced by his presence! She was so beautiful, cheerful, spontaneous that I was stiff as a light pole. "

This review gives away most of the plot (not really many surprises, based on all the clips that are out there) ... www.mygenerationweb.it/201507252553/articoli/palcoscenico/cinema/2553-il-fidanzato-di-mia-sorella-tiepida-commedia-estiva-salvata-dall-ex-007-brosnanTranslated by Google ... "THE BOYFRIEND OF MY SISTER", WARM SUMMER COMEDY SAVED BY FORMER 007 BROSNAN Saturday, 25 July 2015 07:37 L ' man is a hunter. You are allergic to marriage, children, and monogamy yet the greatest writers of romance novels and the founders of the Romantic thought are men. There is therefore a contradiction between the theoretical and the love that is lived in everyday life? Yes, answer this question Richard Haig (Brosnan), the protagonist of our story, fascinating and brilliant professor of Romantic literature al'Università of Cambridge and at the same time inveterate playboy who nell'edonista and selfish father Gordon ( McDowell ), his mentor since childhood. Richard is happy with his life, he went from one relationship to another, teaches and enjoys life. Until the beautiful young American student Kate (Alba) becomes pregnant sconvolgendogli life. Before a lunch organized to meet the family of Kate, Richard was struck the bar from fascinating Olvia (Hayek) , flirting with her s enza know the blood tie that binds the bride, is the half-sister . Do some initial confusion, the man decides to shoulder its responsibility and to marry Kate, and moved to California to grow the adored son Jake . But the effect "Family Mulino Bianco" fades quickly when Kate confesses to her husband that he had fallen in love with one of his colleagues and wanted a divorce. Richard is a terrible blow, but for the sake of the child decides to stay in America, beginning a forced cohabitation with his ex-wife and her new boyfriend, a situation that soon evolves into a quadrangle when Olivia took refuge from them after discovering the betrayal of her boyfriend. Start no way for the protagonist of a series of comic situations and romantic, aimed to get the necessary "green card" to stay in America. A comedy that, although American, he and tones mostly British, showing a potential narrative interesting, but almost lost in the development co mpletamente momentum and intensity because of dialogues empty and little engraved dia i will. The same storyline is forced on one side and the other side, in many scenes, the characters move according cliché discounted and banal. The direction is quite educational and cutting television, without particular acute and creative flashes. Like settings, alternating on the screen the rainy and elegant London with solar and hectic Los Angeles. The weight of the film rests on the talent and glamor English Pierce Brosnan gigioneggia with class, making it believable as aged Peter Pan and managing to create, paired with the gorgeous Salma Hayek, a good chemistry and empathy, giving a hint of emotion and smiles to the viewer. If it is anonymous and flat performance of Jessica Alba in the role of capricious sister, you can not fail to mention the sparkling performance of Mc Dowell, deliberately excessive and yet very real in the telling as many people think and act. The final, hasty, forced and feel-good, does turn up their nose to the viewer, happy to see a play on the whole fresh and summery, but also sorry to have witnessed also the festival of obviousness and already seen on love, although it is a theme nuanced and potential, at least on paper.

Has anyone on this board seen the movie yet? Just curious. It's currently out in Italy, Greece, Turkey and on DirecTV. I don't have DirecTV, so I need to wait another few weeks for it to be out on VOD (or hopefully in a theater near me).
The few tweets I've seen on it have all been positive, and the foreign critics seem to like it well enough.

French review (translated by Google) ... aucafedesloisirs.com/2015/07/28/critique-teach-me-love/Date: July 31, 2015 - Only on TF1 VOD Video Directed by: Tom Vaughan Cast: Pierce Brosnan, Jessica Alba, Ben McKenzie ... Genre: Romance, Comedy Duration: 1:55 E-Cinema July 31, 2015 Synopsis: Richard Haig is a highly respected professor of Cambridge, where he teaches romantic poetry of the 18th century. But Richard is also a true seducer who multiplies the (young) conquests. So when Kate, one of his students, told him she was pregnant, they leave to settle in California to raise their child. A few years later, the sister of Kate, Olivia arrives in their lives unexpectedly ... Critical: 7/10 Tom Vaughan, director of Jackpot (with Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher) or Exceptional measures (Brendan Fraser and Harrison Ford) is back with a new romance, Teach Me Love. The cast, we find Pierce Brosnan as no introduction, Jessica Alba (Sin City, The Eye) or Salma Hayek (Tale Of Tales, Savages, Everly). Teach Me Love makes us follow Richard, a renowned professor at the University of Cambridge, very charming, will see his life when tilted his young conquests, Kate will announce that she is pregnant. He decided to leave everything to her and the child, which take them to California, where she found a job. A few years later, their feelings are not the same and the arrival of Olivia will shake some minds ... Love has no rules or laws and Teach Me Love shows us once again. Although the film does not revolutionize the genre, they quickly fall under the spell of its protagonists and in this moving story. The adage of Blaise Pascal, "The heart has its reasons which reason knows nothing" is perfectly illustrated here since the character of Pierce Brosnan, Richard will have to make choices, which will perhaps not enough thought but which will made with the heart. Pierce Brosnan remains true to itself and we will succumb to his Irish charm. It will be both the destroyer of her ladies, but also a doting father willing to do anything for his son. Facing him, two irresistible women who will make him see all the colors. The first starring Jessica Alba Kate, a young woman with attractive assets that will fall accidentally pregnant with our Don Juan. The second Olivia's sister Kate played by Salma Hayek will also rotate Richard's head in his way, a game of cat and mouse will then be created between them, which reserves quite comical and funny moments. A touch of humor is also brought by Malcolm McDowell who plays Richard's father. We will discover also quite stubborn and crazy at times. Director Tom Vaughan violating codes of romantic comedy while addressing quite modern subjects as the age difference between the couple have a child or an aged. The staging is also classic and will make us travel between fairly Cambridge University and the United States with these beautiful beaches of California. Teach Me Love is a traditional romantic comedy but certainly that works wonders. The cast is both sincere and funny, which will make it hangs very quickly to this very friendly and story full of emotion. Teach Me Love is a comedy of the summer not to be missed.

Everything would be fine if he had not succumbed to the devastating charm of Olivia (Salma Hayek), the sister of Kate ... "Women have shaped my life. Unfortunately, relationships have changed because of new technologies. We opened the Pandora's box. Courtesy disappeared. Easier to send an SMS to phone. We exchange on Skype, there is no physical contact or to embrace. Everything is abstract. " Evidence of behavior change, Teach Me Love will be available in VOD, but Pierce Brosnan promotes as if the feature film enjoyed a traditional theatrical release. "What is important is to find the audience, wherever it is. I have to follow suit, no choice. There is no dividing line. But I have no ego problem . "

That may be part of it, Willi, but different countries sometimes get different edits of the same film. I noticed that the Middle Eastern trailer for this film left off the very last bit with the boy and the panties. So, I imagine that with a 15 minute difference, there is probably some actual footage that is missing in the US version. Guess we'll have to see about getting copies of both the european and the US versions to compare. :/
