Glad you're all enjoying them -- I enjoyed rewatching them as I chose and cut the scenes.

You have a good hand at picking the scenes. The ones so far are all favourites.

I've never seen the Manions, so what happens in the end?

Rachel dies in childbirth - though this time at least the child lives. Rory comes back from Ireland just in time to be there. Complete and ultimate downer.

Tell me about it! I watched my German tapes last night. I still cry (not only at this scene, but this one in particular). But it is such a beautiful series. It's kind of weird for me to see Pierce so young in this. He was only a few years older than I am now. Well, weird and lovely.

For anyone having trouble playing these -- if even Windows 10 & 11 or VLC won't play it there's a standalone DIVX codec that can be downloaded HERE under 3.5mb (and it can also be used to compress exiting files - much smaller than mpg and avi but with better quality than wmv).

I made a "Manions" music video back in 1998 to Garth Brooks' "The Dance". It's really bittersweet. I look forward to seeing yours.

Someone made another Manions video! Alas it's put up in three different short parts. They're on YouTube:
Part I: Part II: Part III:

*sigh*
So that means if one is not able to watch NTSC VHS tapes there is no chance of ever seeing this series?

I've heard it actually runs in Germany still on TV (maybe once a year? Sparkling help me out here). Alas I guess that means it's dubbed. France I think used to have a DVD of it for sale but it was cut down by a couple of hours. It's completely frustrating that it's never been remastered for DVD (and it would need to be). They had a prime time to do it when Pierce was Bond and Kate Mulgew was still doing Voyager. It would probably still sell well so it's rather inexplicable why this and Noble House (at least on Region 4 DVD though not remastered as it claims) have never been spruced up for sale. Ace

Hi johnnytodd! Nice to see another German fan around here. Yes, Manions has been on TV in Germany two times I think in the last couple of years. Both times it was on "MDR"; maybe you can get that station. I have no idea when it might be on next. You can cast your daily vote for Manions and receive e-mail alerts when it's on at this site. Alas, as with everything else they put on German TV, the series is dubbed. P.S.: On a related note, you can look forward to Remington Steele in Germany. "Das Vierte" will begin showing it in early November.
