I just finished downloading and watching the clips. They were so much fun! On The View I couldn't believe how she kept stroking his beard! LOL I think I would have chosen his hair because it looked so nice, the way it's longer at the back and curls just a tiny bit. The story with his kids and their band was cute too. And the interviewers wouldn't stop drooling over him--I loved it! ;D On Letterman (I can't believe DL finally remembered how many Bonds he did! ) I just couldn't stop laughing about Pierce's story how he played golf with President Clinton. ;D He looked great too in that black suit. Now I'll stop the drooling. I just had to get this off my chest, as it were.

I think this is the 4th time he's been on the View and maybe the second time he's done it alone and they are always all over him. This time I was actually a little afraid for him. Can you imagine a show where there are four male hosts stroking, touching and slobbering over a female guest that way? The show would either be on the Playboy channel or cancelled due to protests and lawsuits. As for Letterman I was SHOCKED he actually knew PB had done 4 Bond films. It's interesting though that he was on the show last year and had to answer about Bond being over and still he has to do it again. The same thing happenned with Harry Smith on CBS, it's as if they still can't get beleive it. This was a very good interview though with a great Clinton story. My favorite exchange though was the Daily Show (which alas I don't have since I could only get audio but will probably be up at their site) where Jon Stewart said about EON what we all feel. Priceless. Ace

You didn't miss much where picture is concerned, but if they don't post it on their site, you can always get it from me. That exchange of opinions on EON (in which PB also participated saying Stewart started first) was hilarious. My husband watched the Daily Show with me, and it was the first time he saw PB with the beard. His reaction was unguarded, instantaneous and, if he were on TV, had to be bleeped completely, except for the "if he thinks he looks better that way" part. However, as soon as he realized it was for the part, he calmed down and said it was quite fine and made comlete sense. He was also quite shocked at the language in the car scene - not at the language per ce but at the fact that somebody would have such a scene in a movie. I wonder how the scene was filmed - did PB say something else when the boy was present and then the soundtrack was replaced? Not that the boy doesn't know those words, but does he want his parents to realize that?

PB's interview is not up on the the Daily Show site yet. Do you guys know where I can get the transcript? It sounds fun from the way you describe the exchange...

That kid is what at least 10 or 11? If his parents don't think he knows that word or has heard it or said it then they live in delusion-ville and probably wouldn't be having their child act in R rated films. I can't see them filming a PG form of the movie then lipsyncing in swear words, besides you can see PB's mouth form the words perfectly. I love that scene and the entire set up to it, it's a great start to the film and tells you so much about the character. Ace

It's a great setup, but parents are often delusional - that's why movies are cut on public channels. Isn't it?

He was being very gracious about it, as he always is. But you're right, they were not behaving very professionally. I should have realised that at the time if I hadn't gotten so carried away as I always get when I see him. Cool! I'd love to see that!

But really, beard-pinching is not exactly sexual harrassment. It was a bit forthecoming, but not to that extent. I can eaily imagine a male host teasing a female guest over her new hairdo and playfully pulling a stray lock - if she had a sense of humor and wasn't his guest for the first time, she might have been a game.

I love that scene and the entire set up to it, it's a great start to the film and tells you so much about the character. I'm one of the worst offenders when it comes to not being very tolerant of foul language in films. For me, if a man said that in front of my son (much less to him), even if my son were 10 or 11, I'd be tempted to go up and slap him. However as ACE said, I think that's the point the film is trying to make. Julian isn't the "politically correct" type. Even though I haven't seen the film yet, from what I've read and heard he just doesn't know what appropriate behavior is. So for the movie and the character, the language and vulgarity definitely fits. Unfortunately it does make me realize that if Pierce wasn't in this film, I probably would not have been the least bit interested in watching a film about a foul mouthed, washed up, sleazy hit man. It's not that I can't accept Pierce in different roles from James Bond, but that the film itself is not something that I would have been interested in seeing. At least with The Matador (as apposed to The Tailor of Panama - which I didn't like), it's not meant to be taken too seriously, and I think the characters are going to be appealing to me. Therefore, regardless of the language and subject matter, I will hopefully care about what happens to these characters. As far as what the young actor's parents thought of the scene, frankly I often question the judgment of "stage parents" anyway. However Haley Joel Osment seems to have his act together and I'd have thought he would have had some real emotional and psychological problems after what he was exposed to filming the The Sixth Sense (which I thought was a fabulous movie!). I thought she was probably irritating him more than sexually harrassing him. Either way it probably wasn't the most professional thing to do, but no harm was done either. For all we know they may be friends and being in the entertainment industry, they may both be very comfortable with that type of behavior. In the business world, it's definitely frowned upon, but I've seen people do things like that anyway. The View and Letterman were both great interviews, for all the reasons sparklingblue mentioned (Clinton golf story, kid's band, etc.). I also enjoyed The Daily Show interview. I have to admit though that when on The View he said that his sons had formed a band and then they flashed a picture of Sean and Christopher, I momentarily jumped to the conclusion that Christopher must be on the right track again and back in the family. I was a little dissappointed when I found out it wasn't Christopher and Sean he was refering to. I also DID NOT like the name of Paris and Dylan's band...Roadkill. YUCK! That is such a boy thing. Being the mother of two boys it doesn't surprise me that they would choose something like that as the name of their band though. The facial hair still needs to go, but I definitely think that Pierce's hair looks really good in these interviews! I just love it at that length! Ellen

Did you notice that he offered David Letterman to pull his beard? He must have that done to him more than once, then. PS: Ace, could you upload the Matador press conference again, please? I didn't get round to downloading it at the time, and now it says it has expired.

I found another interview we missed folks. It's from KOVR Sacramento. Hopefully this link will work, but if not, just go to www.cbs13.com and do a search of the videos for Pierce Brosnan and then go down to the one titled Mark S. Allen Videos: www.cbs13.com/video/?id=4060@kovr.dayport.comEllen

Here's another one from WBZ Boston. Again, if this link doesn't work, you will need to go to cbs4boston.com and search the videos for Pierce Brosnan. It's the one titled "Joyce Talks With Pierce Brosnan About New Movie": cbs4boston.com/video/?id=15747@wbz.dayport.comSorry, I can find the video clips, but I have a hard time figuring out the direct links to them, so ACE may need to come in and help. The Leading hollywood interview is wonderful.....I think it's the best Pierce's interview I've seen up to now,is the book so beautiful?
I'm looking forward to seeing the actor's studio's one, does anyone know where I can find it? The program was scheduled on a channel of Italian Sky but they've deleted it and in the few episodes they made there wasn't Pierce. More or less the same for the biography on the biography channel, here Sky hasn't this channel. Could you help me in finding this two, please?
