Well, I don't think that you know him well enough that he would paint you and you'd never tell me about it. A very cute family pic from last year's Chitty-chitty-bang-bang premiere...

Omega came up with a new ad - PB in a black shirt, black jacket, and jeans, resting an elbow on his knee. It's not a new photograph, but I haven't seen it made into an ad. It was printed in a local paper a couple of days ago and I'll scan it as soon as (now, "soon" is a relative word here) I reinstall Windows, make it work, and install all other junk I used to have on top of it, of which the scanner probably won't be the first one. Or maybe somebody else will find the picture online now, knowing what to look for. Just thought I'd share.

How thoughtful of you to post the picture - I can't open any links at the moment and this one is too long to type. Yes, that's the one, thanks. I've never seen it made into an ad before, at least not in printed form.
I think it's going to become my second favorite Omega ad, after the black and white one.

I haven't seen it in ad form before either. I think this photo along with a couple of great others went up on the site in late 2001/ early 2002 around the start of DAD. They were in wallpaper size, at least, but they don't seem to be there anymore. Ace

Ohh, they do use it for ads in Dublin. Grafton Street alone had two of them in jewellers' window displays. I'd post my photo, but I don't have a scanner.

Vic, I added a smaller version of your photo of PB painting on my PB Art Gallery Page credited to you, I hope you don't mind. If you do let me know. Oh I found a larger version of PB's Valentine- Charity drawing... his Queen of Hearts... the detail is amazingly ingenious and kind of disturbing! ;D Ace

Oh my! He's good! He's very good. I could say a lot about this card but I'm not good at it. In short, it's a good graphics that requires a steady hand, and I like his use of color - bright but just enough not to overdo it. Good composition, too. I wonder why he bothered to draw the words "Rex Features" across the card. "The heart again relaxes....." - is that a quote from somewhere?

Yes it is rather good, very good; love the compostion, use of line, detail and color but it's the concept that's so bloody, ahem, brilliant. The Queen of Hearts, the ripped out organ... the line "the heart again relaxes".... and the music coming from said ripped out organ, no doubt relaxing once more and singing and loving again after being so cruelly abused. Just marvelous.
I don't know if that's a quote from something, checked googl and it wasn't there. I do beleive I've heard him use that phrase before though.

The detail in the headgear reminds me of the intricate wood carvings I've seen at the local art museum.

Very nice, I like the 3rd one alot as well... but then I like them all. I wonder what that Grey Owl site says in Hungarian (?)... alas not available for transation by AltaVista. The 2nd one I believe Kelly has a version of on her site from the People: 50 Most Beautiful 1996 issue. Ace

I don't speak a word of Hungarian, either, but I found a translation engine via google: www.foreignword.com/Tools/transnow.htmThe outcome, however, is more amusing than satisfactory. ;D GRIZZLY Owl
