New Hello mag issue 768 dated June 10th 2003 has 2 pics and small write-up headed Pierce Brosnan: Theme is Hawaii For His Big 5-0.
'Pierce Brosnan and his wife Keely share a love of all things Hawaiian. As well as their Malibu home they own a holiday house on Kauai and they love the island life.
Which is why the Bond star invited 150 friends to a Hawaiian bash at their Malibu mansion to celebrate his 50th birthday.
Celebrity partygoers included Cindy Crawford, her husband Rande Gerber and their children Presley, three, and 21-month-old Kaia (above with Keely); Barbra Streisand and actor John Cusack.
"Welcome to our luau" said a sign on the beach, referring to the Hawaiian word for feast. Guests were treated to a Polynesian-Asian buffet featuring coconut shrimp and fresh sushi.
The highlight of the evening was a troupe of Hawaiian fire dancers, flown in by Keely as a surprise. They capped their fiery performance by bringing out Pierce's cake - lit by 50 candles, of course.'
One pic has Pierce and Keely with some guests behind and the sign behind them (not posed - they aren't aware of being snapped) and the other of Keely with Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber and their 2 children posing for a photograph (someone else has taken this photo as the photographer is in the pic).
There doesn't seem to be anything on Hello's website on this.

Can't believe I wasn't invited, considering we practically share a birthday. WELL Thanks for the headup.

He undoubtedly thought you were busy with your own celebration. The latest issue of Star has a few photographs from the luau. And for the record - I don't buy that thing nor do I subsribe to it. I got the info from somebody else. I'm shameless enough to admit to getting a free look while it's on stands - he looked good.

OK...since no one has asked this question yet, I will.
Since it was a luau, does anyone know if Pierce got lei-ed for his birthday?

LOL, I'm sure at least one person knows - him. If he got lucky, I think at least one other person knows, too. And if more people know, then those two probably got interrupted. And don't expect me to blush, I lost that ability years ago.

Don't let anything stop you. The three of us tonight (CG, Ace and I for those who's reading it later) can make it happen - just look at other threads. I must say posting like that is more fun than chats.

And if more people know, then those two probably got interrupted. I'm glad you added that; I thought you were going for something much cruder. And I'd like to think that our man wouldn't go for that kind of liaison. (sp?) cg

Um....Yuliya....it's too late.
I think many of the participants in this thread are already looking pretty strange. This is just fine with me, since I am the chief nutter.
