Hello, I'm new here.
I used to watch Remington Steele in my younger days and I loved it. However, I forgot much of the episodes, so going over them again is alot of fun for me.
My 15 year old son loves Pierce, so one day he brought home a Remington Steele DVD from the library. To make a long story short, now we're hooked!
My son is upset with the first episode of Season 3, because at the end of it Laura tells Steele that they should just try and have a working relationship. He thought they had been so romantic and had been waiting for them to have more romance so he got upset, thinking that there was no chance for them to get together.
Anyway, I fixed that by telling him that there is an episode later on in 3 where the two characters reveal they love each other (subtly done while Steele gets worked over by a female baddie.)
So, he wants to see it with me. It's so cute how he wants them to get together.
I think my favorite episode so far is "Steele Trying' - god that was funny! But actually I like pretty much all of them. The one that drove me up the wall was one where a guy in a football uniform gets blown away and has no gun shot wound and no blood - for the whole ep! No blood on the floor, either. How could they overlook that? The man shooting him was up close, too. Oh well.
The Steele character, played so excellently by Pierce, is probably what helped him to land Bond. But I prefer Steele to Bond - Remington is much more human than Bond. Funnier, too.
Stephanie Zimbalist is also so great in this show. And man, was she skinny back then! Actually, both Brosnan and Zimbalist were pretty thin in their PI days. And they both look good now, too; they don't look like they've been botoxing at all.
Glad to be here, Theresa
