Pierce's part seems to have wrapped. Not sure about the whole production, tho.

I think I recall reading somewhere that they are looking to release this late this year. If so, that would be a very fast turn around from shooting to distribution.

Does that mean there's a trailer to be released soon?

Not sure. I think I read at one point that they were hoping for an end of year release for this film (which would be an super fast turn around, if that's true). I have a feeling it was something put together for this event, and might not be official yet.

I wonder how much will it make at the box office, especially here in the US.

From an Italian language media outlet that was at ConemaCon ... blog.screenweek.it/2016/04/cinemacon-2016-stx-entertainment-annuncia-film-stallone-jackie-chan-508042.phpThe Foreigner will be directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale), a drama which will see Jackie Chan against an Irish mobster (Pierce Brosnan) to get revenge for the death of her daughter killed in an IRA bomb attack. Expect a dramatic interpretation of Chan and a villain who claims not to be a villain from Brosnan. The film which will be released in 2016 is the first co-production of STX with China.

Is Pierce a supporting player or a co-lead with Chan?

In terms of actor billing, I think he's a co-lead. He's too much of a big name not to receive a co-top billing. In terms of character position, as in the novel, he's a secondary character and the main focus is Chan's Quan character.

So Pierce is a supporting actor then?

Character-wise, yes. Credit/billing-wise, no.

I wonder how much it will make in the US and worldwide. I don't expect it to be in the top 10 though it would be nice.

It's not a big budget movie. Don't put such high expectations on it.

I hope it will lead Pierce to his career reboot, similar to what The Untouchables did to Sean's career.

He will have to associate himself with a high profile IP for that. Otherwise, it's hardly happening if ever.

The Untouchables wasn't even a high profile IP yet it rebooted Sean's career.
