Today, after 25 years, I gathered around a table in the company of three beautiful young people, to talk story about a film that has touched the hearts of so many. Sally is on tour with her new book. Robin is in heaven making the angels laugh and was spoken of with the fondest of love and and sweet memories . Can ya guess the movie? The Today Show is airing our interview in early November. Join us for the 25th Anniversary of the #Mrs.Doubtfire reunion.
I came out to California in 1982, stayed on North Havenhurst, the first morning I had Breakfast at Schawebs deli on Sunset. Never saw so much food. Made the mistake of putting my hand under the table. There was so much gum stuck there from the fifties. Rented a car from Rent a wreck for 50bucks a week, a Lime green Pacer with a banged up wing and cushion on the seat to stop the springs from going up your backside, drove over Laurel Canyon for my first interview at CBS in Studio City . They were looking for an actor to play Remington Steele. I got the job. They needed photos of me as Remington to hang in his office. This is one of them, I got Irish lucky. Came for two weeks and stayed a life time. Love my California, she’s been good to me. I was 29 years old. Never looked back. Thank you America for letting me in.
