Even the Rumor says it's not happening but I thought I'd post it here anyway because the mind boggles.... www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/confidential/kate-middleton-parents-eye-nyc-party-business-article-1.1355954SLY SEEKS A BONDHollywood insiders tell us that after trying unsuccessfully to get Sean Connery, the original James Bond, to sign up for “The Expendables 3,” Sly Stallone has set his sights on Pierce Brosnan, who played 007 from 1995 to 2004. “Sly feels it would be a coup to get the longest movie franchise hero on board,” says our mole. “It also opens the way for lots of fun jokes between the cast.” Alas, we hear Sly wants to start shooting in August and Brosnan’s dance card is full. Stay tuned.

It will be a hoax, because it also spread that Pierce had married another woman again, which of course was not Keely

I don't think it's a hoax. I do think Stallone wants a "Bond" in his film just as he's gone after other actors that he hasn't gotten - like Nicholas Cage, Clint Eastwood etc. I just don't believe it would happen for one second unless Pierce was feeling wacky enough to do a cameo. I hadn't heard about the new marriage hoax though.

I've seen it circulating on Tumblr every so often. It's a piece of fan art.

Well, Stallone always wanted to have a "Bond" in the team. Connery refused, and Brosnan remains, as he was the only "Action" Bond in the franchise, so be it. I'm expecting Brosnan to show up in Expendables 4.

An excerpt from an upcoming interview with Pierce for the Short List ... shortlist.com/entertainment/films/exclusive-pierce-brosnan-joining-expendablesEXCLUSIVE: PIERCE BROSNAN JOINING EXPENDABLES 25 Mar 2014 Proving that men over 60 can still kill many many people, The Expendables franchise has helped to bring together Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Willis and many others, all in the joint pursuit of fighting younger people. In this week's magazine, we spoke to Pierce Brosnan who exclusively revealed that he'll be the next sixtysomething action hero to join the cast. "Oh, the offer has come in for the next Expendables," the ex-007 told us. "I just worked over in Bulgaria with Avi Lerner who makes them. He said, “Would you like to be in The Expendables? I’d love to have you,” and I said, “Why not?” So we’ll see." He's not exactly sure which instalment it will be though... "I have no idea...I just said yes. It could be 7!" he joked. The Expendables 3 adds Wesley Snipes, Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas and Harrison Ford to the cast. Brosnan can currently be seen in A Long Way Down. You can see the full interview in this week's ShortList, out Thursday. ================ Obviously, nothing confirmed with the "Why not? / So we'll see / It could be 7" comments, but it sounds like he's game if it happens.

www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/BlackSpider/news/?a=102880Pierce Brosnan Still Wants to Appear in THE EXPENDABLES
The famed 007 actor recently sat down with ComingSoon.net and spoke on Kelsey Grammar and possibly appearing in an Expendables film in the future. Click the jump to check it out. By The Grifter - 7/1/2014 Recently ComingSoon.net got the chance to sit down and talk to Pierce Brosnan at his 'A Long Way Down' film premiere. Back in March Brosnan mentioned appearing in an Expendables film, so ComingSoon asked him if that offer still stood. "I said to (producer) Avi Lerner, 'If it works out and you have a good script, Avi, you know where to find me if you still want me.' It's as simple as that really," Brosnan said. "I had a grand time in his company. Sylvester Stallone is the one that's given us these wonderful platforms for actors who have and had careers to go play and have fun and to entertain. To bring a bunch of guys together who saved the world, fought the bad guys, and put them all on the same stage, that's crazy good." When asked about his close friend Kelsey Grammar, Pierce said "He's a fantastic actor, Kelsey Grammer. You don't have that kind of career without having a talent, without having something to say and to give to an audience." Brosnan then stated, "It's just about entertainment. Avi is somebody I've heard about and his movies always have big brash entertainment value to them. You can really change the world and that's great, but 'The Expendables'? Yeah, I'd love to do 'The Expendables.' It's just a kick in the pants."
