Agreed. Which movie is it going to compete? It has no legs to stand on in comparison to, say, Rogue One or Doctor Strange.

October would be a good release date for a mid sized film wanting to go wide though that date is very busy. But it's not listed for release on that date by BOM which usually very up to date. www.boxofficemojo.com/schedule/?view=bydate&release=all&date=2016-10-07&showweeks=4&p=.htmThen again they still have it listed under it's old title www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=moonandthesun.htmAlso Paramount has two other films slated for release that month and their schedule seems to be filled for the year except December which looking at the schedule is a better month since even with Star Wars there the Christmas holidays are a great time for a lot of films to make money. Florence Foster Jenkins Paramount 8/12/16 Ben-Hur (2016) Paramount 8/19/16 Jack Reacher: Never Go Back Paramount 10/21/16 Rings Paramount 10/28/16 Arrival Paramount 11/11/16 Allied Paramount 11/23/16 Silence (2016) Paramount 2016 (probabaly Dec) Paramount's in some trouble now though they might not have the money or the structure on hand to release any more films this year

According to IMDb, the movie has a theatrical release date of October 7th. However, it does not say where. Not sure if this is to be believed.

Well, it's September 20 and we don't even have a first trailer yet. I mean, it's an expensive film to an extent and marketing has to be done. I doubt they want it to bomb at the box office with a snap of finger just like that. October 7 definitely seems unrealistic to me. Don't know about the others.

Still no official release date but there's a poster up on IMDB. It looks like it's for China but has the the original title....

They've found another US distributor - Open Road Films. It's been rated PG for some violence, suggestive material and thematic elements. It's scheduled for a 2017 release according to the rating site but it's not on Open Road Film's site yet www.openroadfilms.com/#ourfilms

I know Wikipedia is not a reliable source, but it's been said that The King's Daughter will be direct-to-video. If this is true, then this is NOT normal for the best and most popular Bond since Sean. It seems like the show biz people is pulling a Steven Seagal out of Pierce.

It seems like the show biz people is pulling a Steven Seagal out of Pierce. I think there was a shake-up at the studio and they probably couldn't get their act back together to release this. If it's going straight to video, then it's more likely a matter of recouping money than marketing Pierce. As Pierce has said, it's a business.

Pierce deserves much better than this, and he's too good for his own good to have a career consisted of poorly rated works or works that nobody wants to give a sh1t about. He deserves his best since GoldenEye, and he deserves his John Wick type action films.

I'm starting to wonder if this film will ever be released, or will it join the list of unreleased films that are shot but never seen the light of the day? It's becoming almost four years since they wrapped production on it.
