Hi there,
I'm a big fan of Brosnan and , as my name suggests, love him as The Matador. I also love him as Remington Steele and am enjoying watching the box sets that are out now. My question is though, does anybody have pics of Brosnan before he was Remington Steele and had his Hollywood gleam? I remember seeing pics of him in magazines once when he was announced as Bond and they had pictures of him with Cassie where he looked really different, moustache, different teeth-actually looking like a younger Matador! It's great to see pictures of him when he was "ordinary" (I read once that he was a taxi driver!) and knowing the amazing things he had ahead. It's a bit like Clark Gable and how he had his teeth done and then became a Hollywood leading man. Please could people post some pics of Brosnan with Cassie in the early days?
Thanks!
Matador Steele!

Thanks for posting the pictures, Ace.
I think he looks basically the same except for the dental work (I'm glad that he had his front teeth capped!). He was never an ugly duckling, though I remember reading an early interview with Cassie in which she said that she was not taken by his looks when they first met.
He looks endearingly goofy in the wedding pictures, with the boyish smile and ill-fitting (off-the-rack?) suit. Obviously, he learned a lot about being well-dressed and well-groomed after his Hollywood breakthrough, but he doesn't appear to have had any surgery to improve his looks.
He does look like a younger Julian Noble, minus the sleaze. Thankfully, he got rid of that pornstar mustache. ;D

Pierce was in a play when they met, and for the role he had a choppy haircut and was 20 lbs heavier. Cassie joked she had no idea all that beauty was there - that she fell in love with the inner man. But really how bad could Pierce look even with a bad haircut and a few extra pounds? According to his theater classmates in one of bios he was always a stylish dresser though he shopped at used clothes stores. But it was the 70s, so how stylish could he have been? Though you can tell in the photos from his Glasgow theater work that he knew how to wear clothes even in his mid 20s. There's a great (albeit small) photo of him elegantly sitting in his tux in a Noel Coward play and he completely nails the look and posture and I love that dramatic photo of him all in black with Hinds in Painter's Palace. So elegant and dramatic (and with beard and mustache)

I think the play must have been Filumena, the dates seems to fit. Judging from the photos, he does look a little heavier, but he wasn't bad looking by any stretch of the imagination. As for the clothes, the wedding suit was probably an aberration from his normally stylish 70's style. But of course, a Brioni/ Tom Ford suit makes all the difference in the world. There is another interview I read where he said that when he first met Keely, she didn't notice him. Yeah, right. Excellent pictures! The moustache thing I thought was just for a role but it seems he wore it for many of the photos. Still, as we know, he rocked it as The Matador, without a doubt in my opinion the best film he ever did. The picture of him and Cassie by the raditator with the paint I once saw a colour version of and he had written I love Cassie in paint on the wall. Wish I would have kept it and scanned it now. The pics of him in the park with the cream scarf were great, although he wasn't smiling, maybe to do the mean and moody look, or to hide his teeth. Eith way he looks great! Any more pics anyone has, please post!
