I’m working on a film critique on The Deceivers as my latest writing assignment for another Thai magazine. Most of the reviews I’ve found through imdb were less than impressive--it seems as though they just didn’t understand the artistic quality presented within a marvellous, adventure period piece. Does anyone know if there were any interviews conducted around the time of its release where Pierce might have discussed his characterization of Captain William Savage?

This is quite a list, Ace! Thankyou very much. My critique focuses on the theme of honor, the reflexivity of the camera contributing to impressive ways of storytelling, and the use of symbolism. It was great to have the opportunity to read positive reviews for a change.
